Fat Question

After completing my food diary for the day, it tells me on my Android App how much fat i've had. For example:

Total Fat (g) 13g
Saturated 3g
Polyunsaturated 0g
Monounsaturated 1g
Trans 0g

Now i'm not too good at maths, but i am pretty sure that 3 + 0 + 1 + 0 does not equal 13, so my question is, what is the other 9g categorised as? :)

Sorry no-one's replied. All I can think of is that whoever put the values into the database for the foods you've eaten didn't put in all the data including the saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, poly unsaturated fats and trans fats. I've noticed that there are frequently several listings for the same foods, and that they can vary. If it's a commercially produced food you could compare the packet info with the info on the database on MFP & see if they're different or incomplete. I found a packet soup where someone had entered the amount of protein in 100g instead of the amount in one sachet by mistake. If you find a mistake or want to update the database you can edit the info on here.

If you look at labels on containers the total fat doesn't equals the total count of the specific fats. The USDA requires that the amounts of those specific fats be identified, but there are additional fats that aren't categorized and are included in the total fat amount
