I’ve been considering a food scale, especially if my weight doesn’t budge for the next couple of weeks. Any recommendations for an affordable one??

I don’t use a food scale, but I measure everything including sauces. When in doubt, I overestimate the calories (if I eat out or something). I try to double check all food labels. And I do HIIT workouts, logging as circuit training. I only eat half back of those calories unless I’m extra hungry.

Per my doctor's scale . .9 weeks: 128.8 14 weeks: 130.8 (+2) 18 weeks: 132.6 (+1.8) 22 weeks: 136.2 (+3.6) 26 weeks: 139.2 (+3) I have gained 10.4 lbs! I went several weeks without gaining but it seems like I am gaining every week again. I am pleasantly surprised by the way things are going because with my other two I…

Per my doctor's scale ... 9 weeks: 128.8 14 weeks: 130.8 (+2) 18 weeks: 132.6 (+1.8) 22 weeks: 136.2 (+3.6) So I am now at 7.4 lbs gained! Pretty happy with this! The gains have been more consistent on a weekly basis, but slow at the same time.

My doctor actually prefers that I have drinks with artificial sweeteners if I want them. I guess its to stay on track calorie wise & not wind up consuming more than I would want to. Just drinking a couple glasses of regular kool aid could be up to 300 extra cals. So, I try to drink water ... but if I am feeling something…

I'm 18 weeks with my third now and I still look like I just ate too many cheeseburgers or something. If I wear something that accentuates the bump, that helps and people who know me that know I'm pregnant can tell. Oh well! It'll pop out in the next couple of weeks. :)

Per my doctor's scale ... 9 weeks: 128.8 14 weeks: 130.8 (+2) 18 weeks: 132.6 (+1.8) So far that puts me at about 3.8 lbs. I went a month without gaining a thing and finally jumped up a little last week. I am sure I will begin to see more gains as I have been STARVING. Im just glad I could keep the gains slow at first.

I have spotted all three pregnancies at around the same time as you and it all turned out to be ok. In fact, I was spotting the day I got my positive test this time around so I was very shocked that I was even pregnant! My doctor's rule is spotting is typically normal, heavy bleeding is not and I ought to go to the…

According to doctor's scale: (weighing in the afternoon with clothes on) 9weeks: 128.8 14weeks: 130.8 Today at 15weeks: 130.8 My doctor approved of my calorie intake (1600-1800 cals a day depending on my activity level) and said because I started out at a lower weight, I can gain up to 30 lbs but he wouldn't worry if it…

I was like that during my second pregnancy. I wouldn't gain anything for a while and then randomly be up 2-3 lbs. It all evened out in the end to a healthy gain. :)

I ate my maintenance calories during the first tri, along with half of my exercise calories back. I felt full and had minimum weight gain so I guess it was what worked for me. And then since the second tri started I have stayed at the maintenance calories, but I eat all of my exercise calories back. I also don't turn…

My baby was breech all the way til week 39 (my last one I should say lol I'm currently only 12 weeks with #3) ... my doctor offered the external version but didn't recommend it. He said there were too many risks involved like placental abruption that he felt a c section was much safer, especially considering EV is not a…

Pre pregnancy weight at 4 weeks - 126 Current weight at almost 12- 127.2 This is pretty typical for my pregnancies! Kinda wondering when the weight will start coming on more ... with my first I packed it on super fast (1.5-2 lbs a week)and with my second I would go weeks without gaining and have a random growth spurt. (I…

I guess it was all water weight because the numbers went back down to a 1-2lb gain. I drank a ton of water though! LOL!

My first appointment is Thursday, but I plan on bringing it up as well. I think as long as you are not depriving yourself or trying to lose, you are eating when hungry, etc., the doctor won't mind calorie logging. I mean if we have been logging long enough we can typically have a rough estimate of what we take in just by…

When I was in high school, a guy I was dating poked my stomach and said "wow, I've never felt a girl's stomach be so soft before." And so began the starvation diets and self loathing attitude which thankfully I have since gotten over.

I calculated my BMR and TDEE on scoobysworkshop and it came to 1721. So I am going to try 1700 for a few weeks and see what that does! At the very least, I am sure I won't be as hungry or grumpy! :) Thanks for the help y'all!

Thanks everyone! And my diary is now public ...

My daughter's birthday party is today as well! And my favorite thing about birthday parties? Cake! So I'm gonna try and stay strong as well! Especially considering I will have family that will notice that I am not eating cake and will say, "One piece won't make you fat!"

I just had my second baby a month ago tomorrow! The weight fell off with the first and this time I have a few lingering pounds! I've also always had poor eating habits, so I am wanting to learn how to eat and cook healthier for my family! I joined MFP this past Monday so it's pretty new to me! Feel free to add me! :)
