Hello! I underwent a total thyroidectomy a month ago. Now that my medication has been increased, I'm hoping my new energy levels will give me JUST the boost I need to start shedding some (like..ALL) of this extra weight that's crept back on over the last year.

So happy to find this. I had been doing Ideal Protein, however needed to do something different (that didn't make such a huge impact on my pocket book). Today was my first day, and feeling great. Just taking a bit to get used to, such as things that were HUGE no no's on IP, I now can have doing Keto. Getting over that is…

What a great group of people on this thread! I'm Brooke, 39yrs old, work full time/college partial-full time/family...in my spare time I like to car tinker, geocache, disc golf, crochet, cross stitch, and can. Hope to meet new friends to motivate each other. I have 80lbs to shed. Thanks all!

Hi Kelly (and everyone!) I’m married (14yrs); have a 12yr old Daughter; work full time; attended 2 colleges simultaneously;(working on my AA and knocking out some classes for my Bachelors). Although all these things keep me busy, I need to keep check on my health in order to make this all work ;) Feel free to add!

Hi Alice! re-joined a few weeks again, but faithfully have been logging for a week. I hopped on the scale, and realized I have 88lbs to shed. Although daunting, I know WE can do it!!!
-
Feel free to add. 1st week of logging, lost 7.4lbs. I have 80more to go. Looking for additional friends to keep each other motivated.
-
I have a total of 80lbs to lose. Did my initial weigh in on Sunday, and trying to stay off of my scale so I weigh myself once per week. Any new friends welcome!

To be able to put my wedding ring back on...That's my first NSV/mini goal

I needed this today. Thank you so much for posting. It's truly an inspiration

Just re-entering the MFP world, with 70lbs to lose. Unsure of current weight (I have a FitBit Aria that needs reset/new batteries). Goal weight is 160lb (or less) I'm 5ft 6.5 Any new friends welcome

I'm 39 (ALMOST 40). Married, 1 12yr old daughter....work full time, and attend college full time. I'll take all the support I can get!
-
I'm the same way. My husband and daughter will go to another area of our home to leave me be with my college work. I then end up attacking the fridge. It's horrible! I like the previous suggestions.

You got this!!! Slow and steady wins the race! and persistance pays off. All cliche's I know, but it's absolutely true! Good luck on your journey!

Although the above reply was trying to help....ignore it. (I personally feel if posters don’t have anything to say about the topic posted, they have no right to reply...simple etiquette) I have used MFP for several years, doing JUST as that poster suggested. I was always able to hit one certain number. No matter how I…

I have my BF measured once a week at the Dr, and I also have the FitBit scale. The differences between the two numbers have been between a 2%-3% difference. Hope that helps.

I haven't seen many others post about ideal protein either. I have been on it since Nov 13, and have lost 22lbs.....34inches, with 7 inches from my midsection alone. I'm always looking for new ways to be creative, but am absolutely loving the way I feel....and the food isn't half bad either. I just got a Ninja blender for…

I was a HEAVY drinker (love me the red wines and the heavy/high volume beers IPA, DIPA...ect ) It has been over 6 weeks since I have cut beer/wine out of my diet (as well as carbs/sugars). Not gonna lie...it sucked the sweaty nasty at first...but, Since Nov 13 I have lost 34inches off my of my body, with 7inches from my…

Thank you for posting this information. Ive had my "one" for two years, and had thoughts of replacing it for the latest/greatest...but so far nothing has tempted me. The "one" so far has been a perfect fit

if I were a switch hitter....HOT lol

:::raises hand:::: I lost about 60lbs and was feeling GREAT. Then, I moved....let myself go, realized it...started running. Then, my knees were giving me hell, so I stopped. I LOVE food....I LOVE beer....but I HATE feeling like this. The seams of my jeans are screaming "Step AWAY from the fridge...and get to…

Anyone is free to add me! I'm great at motivating, but not at taking my own advice

//www.fitbit.com/user/23WK2W I don't know how to add them, but have had my "one" for a few years, and am in the starting over phase. I have previously lost a total of 60lbs, however have gained 1/2back. So over it!

I used to RollerBlade a few years back when I worked 2nd shift. Was doing about 6miles in 45min every day before work, then stopped doing it when I joined roller derby. Once I ruined my knees with that, I decided I no longer belong on wheels.
-
:::raises hand::: I was regularly running over 3miles everyother morning before work. I'm 5ft 6.5inches I went from 219lbs, down to 165lbs. Did exactly reach goal, but felt amazing. Then June came....stress with putting the house up for sale/selling in 2 weeks time/finding a new home/putting my home and other needs before…

To summerize this thread....you may be better off selling drugs

Anyone feel free to add me. I've been on this site since April 2012. I'm 5ft 6.5inches...I started at 219.6, got down to 165. Since MAY I have gained 30lbs back...now at 191.6. All due to getting out of my running habits, then using my mouth has a trash compactor :/ And seasonal brews...love my micro-breweries. So over it…

I haven't been on the forums actively lately until this morning, and have already seen her post this exact thing in a couple of other posts. Wish her all the best, but not sure this is where she needs to be.
