  • Welcome Jamiss and Marci!!! Glad to have you join us. Thanks for sharing Diane. I encourage you, as you said, to not beat yourself up over the "meaningless calories". They were just a couple of hundred AND you were able to stop before it became a full-on binge. You have come a long way - Great job! I support you getting…
  • Great job Mrs. B!! That is quite an accomplishment. Diane - hang in there! You had a moment where you felt a bit out of control, but it was brief. Sounds like overall you have been doing very well. Today is day 9 for me and I have not binged. I had a very close call on day 7. Of course The Binge tried to sabotage my goal…
  • Welcome to all! So glad people are finding this thread and joining! Right now, I'm doing a daily check-in, I have a goal of 1 week without bingeing. Today was a normal healthy eating day! 5 days down, 2 to go!! What has helped me this week is I am avoiding all sugar, including artificial sweeteners. The sugar wasn't as…
  • tlapdx: I'm new, but glad you are back  I know what it is like to have family completely derail your healthy eating plans. Don't think about it anymore. You are right, they are gone and today was a new day and start of a new week. It has helped me to set a goal and post here how I did each day toward that goal.…
  • Hi all! I missed today's challenge - i did barbell class and took it easy because I hadn't been in a while. But I am in for the rest of the week! Tuesday - I plan to weigh in (with my fingers crossed). Since my initial weight began Friday last week, I'm hoping for a 1lb loss. And I will move during commercials. However, if…
  • Just doing my daily check-in: I had normal, healthy eating today. 3 days down, 4 to go!!!!
  • Thanks for posting this! I use spaghetti squash, but when it is not in season (like now), I did not have a sub. I will have this tomorrow for sure as I have about 4 in the fridge rt. now.
  • Just got to the challenges. Today's was no problem...easy as pie  Cleaneater: I am doing a 5k in September too!
  • Hopeitworks: Thanks!!!! Mrs: Great job on a binge free day!!!! I had normal, healthy eating today!!! 2 days down, 5 to go
  • I'm doing the night check-in: I did not binge. I had a second plate at dinner, I was still hungry but did not need as much as I ate, but I did not binge. I am declaring now that I am done eating for the day! I will check-in tomorrow night. Hang in there everyone....it can be done. My goal here is 7 days of normal, healthy,…
  • Wow Diane. That was a very powerful urge that you resisted. I have been there, I get how hard that was. Congrats! Try to keep resisting. You know and I know that the longer you go w/o bingeing, the stronger you feel and the weaker the urge becomes.
  • Friday morning: I gained 3 lbs since yesterday!! But that's ok. I think I was dehydrated yesterday so now I know my true weight. I am having a good morning and will have a great day. Hang in there everyone - think positive thoughts and how wonderful your body is and all that it can do for you!!
  • My son has food allergies, so I've done a lot of experimenting with baking and come up with my own recipes. These cookies are absolutely delish!! They just happen to be low-cal. If you use raisins instead of choc. chips, the calories may be even lower. But I have not tried it. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 6 Tablespoons…
  • Wonderful...binge free day (BFD)....lol, I can think of something else that could stand for but its totally not appropriate :). Great job...keep up the good work. Think of what it was that worked for you today and repeat.
  • Wow, it is so hard. Aproc, Jr, try not to feel ashamed, I know that is hard. I too feel that way, but in reality there is nothing to be ashamed of. You have not hurt another person or harmed an animal or stolen anything of value. You are dealing with your emotions in a way that you have learned works for you.…
  • I guess this thread died but I see you are also on the other one. Hope you had a good day today. I'm still struggling with recovering from last night. I hope I can get it together before I put back the little I just lost!!
  • Yes, its a punishment. However, in reality my body doesn't really need any more food/fuel after eating all night. You are right diane and I've heard it before - to just eat normally the next day. Its sooooo hard because I am not hungry at all - until night time again. So, I did go ahead and have dinner. But, after dinner,…
  • Thank you so much for sharing. I think you are right about feeding your body because it will get what it needs one way or the other. I was "good" for 3 days - no binge and stayed within my calorie goal. However, last night I stayed up late and binged. I went Waaaaaaaaay way way way over my calorie goal and I probably…
  • Hi, I'm in a similar situation. People tell me I'm thin, etc., but I know I gained almost 10 pounds in about 2 - 3 months. I'm tall (5' 10.5), so it is not very obvious. In fact, when I was pregnant, I was 6 months along before anyone knew! Any way, the weight is all in my stomach and some in the thighs (not the chest :( )…
  • Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi, I saw this post and started reading then realized it was from January. I jumped ahead and saw that it died out. What happened? Anyway, I'll join. I like reading other's menu's - it gives me good ideas! Here was mine for today. And I am done eating for the day. 1st meal: homemade cafe mocha: 1 cup unsweetened vanilla…
  • I just read through this thread. It seems to have died off. I'd like to join an active group. Perhaps those that are interested in staying in touch could do weekly check-ins? Since we are all on this site, perhaps supporting each other to stay within our calorie goal (its hard to binge and stay in your calorie goal, but I…
  • Diane, Can you share your experience with your nutrition coach? I have thought about it this, but not sure how it would help when I am at home alone. Thanks for any insights to the process!
  • Hi, I can relate as well. Here are a few things to do to avoid eating when not hungry. However, I don't always do them. If I did, I would have this problem licked!! :) 1. since it is usually at night: Go To Bed! 2. eat sunflower seeds - its a snacktivity! and low in calories (I'm actually doing this right now!) 3. save…
