I had gastric sleeve 9 days ago. This wasn't an easy fix or a quick decision. It was researched and decided with a variety of doctors and determined the best way forward. There's a long history to my weight and it was all examined in detail. Only a short time out I can't talk about long term. Currently I can barely think…

I'm 31 - I'm not sure that counts as 'young', I currently don't feel as though it does! I'm a mum to a 2 year old and 3.5 year old. I'm trying this journey again, but it is a bit harder when you have kids in tow, I tend to live for them and forget myself and that often means neglecting my health and wellbeing, particularly…

I'm so glad I've found this ... I was so confused as well. my little man is 7 months now and I have always mixed fed him due to supply issues, I've tried to stick at between 1200 to 1400 calories and that seems to be fine for him, but I've not lost much so far so I thought maybe I was eating too much ... or maybe not quite…

I'm 28 and determined to get it off before I hit 30. Just had a little boy and determined to be a fit and healthy mum that can run around with him, not one who sits and watches him play. Feel free to add me for support :-)

I am! My little man is 9 weeks old. I'm probably going for more than pre pregnancy, but pre pregnancy weight will be a start!!
-
Sounds much like my story ... but this time I'm doing it for me and my son, he's 9 weeks old!

I had my little man in December and just starting the "baby weight" journey, after being successful on here a few years ago. Anyone who wants to add me I'm happy to help support you on your journey's! Good luck everyone x

I had the same addiction ... but somehow the cravings went away when I got pregnant, not sure it's a method I would recommend to get over the addiction though lol.

HA, I'm far from pro ana, and certainly wouldn't put a topic up to promote anything like 500 calories per day. I made it clear that I had no intention of following this advice, because it sounded crazy to me. If my post read something along the lines of "I'm going to follow the advice, what are people's tips for eating"…

She wrote it down on the piece of paper I had handed her at the start of the consultation listing the issues I have been having. I find it weird to have to justify what has happened ... apparently I must have nothing better to do then make up crazy stories about dr's ?!?!?
-
Thanks so much :-)
-
Really, what red flags??? I've told the story exactly as it happenned, can't see why I would post something about 500 calories a day without a reason.
-
No misunderstanding, she even wrote it down on a piece of paper for me.
-
Thanks for everyone's support, nice to know I wasn't the only one that felt she was a bit crazy for this advice. Guess I needed to hear it from other people though!!

I need to lose about 10kg, well at least that is what I want to do, as it would get me to wear I have felt comfortable before. There was no nutrient requirements, just a blanket "500 calories a day" statement.

Well I went to her for a second opinion, particularly as my thyroid is "sluggish". I gave her my long history of trying to lose weight, blood tests other doctors had taken, hormone tests my naturopath had done, a diet plan a dietician had done for me. I was in shock when she said it, and I got out and "lost it", more so as…

I'm all about the thong ... But I'm not a fan of comando! Couldn't imagine working out in "normal" underwear, it would get annoying, but thong has never bothered me!
