  • just wanted to chime in... im going into week four and i don't really believe in weighing myself and let's be honest, you have to measure yourself in the SAME spot every week and i just cant do that... that being said, i have been taking photos of my progress this far and let me just say that i have lost some of that…
  • knowing shaun t, i think it will be a brutal *kitten* burner. he doesnt promote crappy workouts and seems like a genuine person... if he is putting his name on this program, i KNOW it will be good. i will be trying it out this summer...
  • ^ agree! i thought the same thing before (thinking uncomfortable) i purchased mine. when i have it on working out, i cant even tell it is there. sometimes i will forget about it after the workout. highly recommend as it will be more accurate with readings!

  • well, it has a workout that specifically targets abs/core and the 'bum bum' (weird name, i know) workout is mostly lower body. I have only done these two so far so that's about all i know. the workouts are pretty good and my only issue with it so far is the trainers voice kind of irritates me so i have to have him almost…
  • i just started this program this week. I'm not doing it according to the program, but at the same time, I am doing Jillian MIchaels Body Revolution, and training for a half marathon (i know im crazy). I pretty much do all the workouts minus the cardio disc because I get my cardio elsewhere. Like others, i carry most of my…
  • ^ this is true. i used to get up at 7am, but since memorial day, i have trained myself to get up at 545AM. You get used to it after awhile and its not so bad. You can always drink a small cup of coffee in the morning too, that sometimes works! AND, on top of all that, when you come home at night, you already have your…
  • this is so true! this was me when i first started...and then i found jeff galloway's run/walk method. i ran my first half marathon last year and focused more on completing my distance rather than speed. my only goal for my 1/2 was to finish. this year, since i have some training under my belt, i do a combination of both…
  • if it's MY birthday, im going to have some cake! i mean, come on!!!!!!!
  • butter, brown sugar and some salt for some KETTLE CORN. tastes delicious!
  • Jeff Galloway! I was a 'non-runner' and i ran my first half marathon last year with his training!
  • I personally think and JM workout dvd is fantastic. I have about 4 or 5 at home that i switch around 3 times a week so I'm always doing something different. I have done the 30DS workout and its not bad and its a quick one. I have seen fantastic results with JM!
  • this sounds awesome. id like to participate, although, id prefer to not be a captain. im training for a 10k now and a 1/2 marathon here soon...so this would be great motivation to get those miles in!
  • corona light only has 99 calories and it tastes delicious. or you could always opt for the less flavorful MGD 64 or Budweiser Select.
  • i know burpees suck, but what about one-leg burpees? suck even more!
  • let me clarify. on my LONG RUN days, i watch what i eat. It's usually only a problem when you run 45min + i hope this helps!!!
  • it's all about what you eat. i had this problem when i was training for my 1/2 last year and had the WTF why. googled it on the internet and sure enough...there it was. you want to stay away from /sugary/fatty/greasy foods pretty much. since that happened to me, i watch what i eat on long days so that doesnt happen. the…
  • JEFF GALLOWAY! he's the man! i ran my first half marathon last year because of his training plan!
  • Jeff Galloway is a preacher/believer of running injury free. http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/5k.html It was a great start for me and it used the run/walk method which can help you with your distance. I'm sure any running program is great!
  • you can always google 5k training plans..and some have a choice of beginner, intermediate and advanced. Jeff Galloway has superb training schedules! His training helped me run my first half marathon! and im currently using his 10k schedule. good luck! :)
  • Gu. Some people don't like the consistency..but I just throw it back like a shot (ha) strawberry banana, vanilla, and chocolate brownie are all decent. I'd try one out before your race to see if you like it. They have other things too like jelly beans for energy.
  • I was taught to only hydrate if you feel thirsty. Don't drink just to drink. I never drank unless my body told me during my half. As to eating? The only thing I ate was a gel for energy mid race during my half. Hope this helps!
  • I used to do this when living with my grandparents. They lived on a dead end street in the city so it was hard to have a good 20-30 minute run. They happened to live next to a cemetery (i know a little creepy) BUT running back there...it is quite nice. Quiet and not a lot of people. I did read an article in Runners World…
  • I started a biggest loser competition with some family members on Jan 1 and since then I am down 13lbs! 19 more to go! I also recently did a 3 week wellness cleanse (pretty much just fruits and vegetables) and i have seen awesome results and i just feel fantastic :)
  • skinnytaste.com!!! LOVE all the recipes. I have made several and have WW points as well.
  • I have always had the same problem. Recently, I started Jillian Michaels 6 week 6 pack abs and i can tell a HUGE difference in my 'muffin top'. I had these lounge pants where it used to hang over, and now, its almost non existent. I highly recommend this workout dvd! i have not only noticed my sides, but my abs as well.…
  • Disregard is this has already been mentioned, but check out Jeff Galloway. I ran my first half marathon last year, and i was a 'non runner' Highly recommend his methods to any beginner!
