Does he know your feelings about marriage? You are right in what you said about not wanting to lead him on if he is serious. He should know that you have no intention of getting married to anyone not just him. If you are enjoying the growing intimacy then be honest with him that it won't lead to marriage. Also if you are…

I think that you need to be up front and ask if he is serious. If you are close enough to have this pact it shouldn't be a problem to be honest and open with each other. Good luck x

Congratulations on your fantastic achievement! You look so great; happier and younger! Be proud of yourself for sticking to your lifestyle change and reaching your goals :drinker:  :drinker:

Sodium is evil! Has to be tracked it makes a massive difference to water retention.

Be good to yourself while you are I'll. Focus on getting better. If you don't feel like eating then maybe try some high calorie smoothies. Ice cream, peanut butter, banana, full fat yoghurt, honey and lots of fruits for the vitamins. Also make sure you keep your fluids up. But don't panic as anything you loose when you ar…

I have 150+ to loose. Started in January and have just reached my first stone lost. A long way to go but feeling positive and loving the support on MFP. Happy to be added :-D

I am in the same situation. Am falling short on my calories most days and now I have increased my exercise I am really struggling! Will try some of the tips already given and will hopefully find it easier :-)

This is a fantastic idea! Don't be too hard on yourself, everyone has blowouts and slip ups. Start tomorrow fresh and plan your days food so you can save some calories, sugar and fat for an evening snack. I always have a small amount of chocolate in the evening, if I didn't I would cheat so much!

I'm proud of myself for getting into my swimsuit and down to the health club for aqua aerobics! The first exercise for too many years :-c I may ache tomorrow but it will be a good ache! Really great to see how many people are proud of themselves. Such a positive topic :-))

My personal trainer is so fit and toned he makes me blush!!! He took my aqua class today so was just in trunks and the guy has not an ounce of flab! He's all muscle. :-D

Feel free to add me. I am 5'8" and over 300lb eating around 1600 to 2000 kcal per day. Just started exercising so that may change as I am set to sedentary and therefore will eat back some exercise calories. My diary is open so have a look. Most of my evening meals are recipes the my daughter and I cook and each serving…

Thanks to all who posted advice! It really gave me the kick up the bum I needed! Spent my first day at my new health club today! 15mins swimming followed by 30mins aqua aerobics! Ache a bit now but it's a good feeling. Have increased water and fruit and switched to fewer carbs and more protein. It's working as I have…

This is so true. You need to adjust your thinking about this being a 'diet'. Try to be more flexible with your eating. The odd night out every week or two will be so great for your state of mind which in turn will help you cope with the days in between. You have been doing this for a long time and giving yourself a break…

Fantastic! Such an inspiration to keep me going! Well done :-)

Try having a plain yoghurt and add some fresh fruit. The sugars in the fruit is far better of you and it still tastes yummy!

Don't give up. I know it's hard when the scales don't change. I am going through the same thing! The advice I have been given is to lower carbs and increase protein. This seems to be working for me. Having looked at your diary I would suggest that you aim to keep within your percentages of fat, protein and carbs and keep…

Lol!!! Love this! It describes exactly what happens to mine when I loose weight!!

I tend to alternate having: 50g of porridge oats with 120ml semi skimmed milk and a bit of water then microwave on full power for two minutes and add 3 sachets of truvia sugar substitute. or 2 soft boiled eggs with 2 slices of Nimble wholemeal toast with 10g of Bertolli light spread. I also add a piece of fruit and a cup…

Try not to get too disheartened you should be proud of yourself for working so hard. Make sure that you are taking measurements as well as monitoring weight. If you are doing that much fitness work then you are probably changing shape and building muscle as you loose fat which will weigh the same but take up less room in…

Thanks for the offer. I am going to try a personal trainer and I think I may get confused if I try to follow fitness plans from more than one person. It's good to have advice though as it will help me know more about my body and what the trainer tells me!

In response to this and your previous post: Thanks for the comments, I am currently well over 300lb and very inactive. Cooking a meal is even a challenge! I am doing this with my daughter and we share the cooking which helps. We make all our evening meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and following healthy recipes.…

Thank you for such a great reply! It's lovely to have someone understand why my calories are set so high. I have taken measurements today for the first time in years! Think I have been a bit reluctant to see just how big I have gotten! I am going to see about joining a local health club where there is a nice pool (not…

[quote Anna (my mum), and I both consume lots of veg, but we intergrate it into our recipes which means it does not show up individually on our diaries. however to eat more fruit would mean I would have to stop eating my nightly portion of chocolate, which I find motivates me throughout the day to eat well (it's sad I…
