Yum! I have some macadamia butter that will fit quite nicely!

This looks great! Thinking I might try making it with an almond meal/butter base before cooking.

Another yummy way to enjoy avocados is to scoop out most of the flesh from each half and mix the chopped avocado with some tuna/chicken/cooked ground beef, chopped onion/shallot, capsicum, mushroom and seasoning, refill the avocado half with the mixture. Sprinkle some herbs/spices (I love chilli powder) and parmesan or…

Now that I'm single again I'll probably have more time to focus on my Mary Kay sales. Looking forward to earning some extra cash!!!

You could try organic/natural pre-cooked items such as rotisserie chickens, smoked chicken, smoked salmon, jerky and cold meats as well.

I cook a batch of spicy beef meatballs every now and then, which are great to reheat for a quick lean protein hit. Great post workout. You could also try these meatballs: http://friskylemon.com/2013/03/13/st-pattys-day-spinach-turkey-meatballs/

Mark Sisson writes a great article on just this topic  http://www.marksdailyapple.com/how-to-fuel-a-marathon/#axzz2QbbmwPDk Same principle for half marathon I guess!

How long have you eaten Paleo? About 18 months What's your favorite Paleo Approved Meal? Rib-eye steak with melted garlic butter with roasted yam & zucchini and pan fried broccoli with bacon and almond slivers. Or Curried Chicken, Apple & Walnut Salad with Paleo Mayo...to die for. What's your favorite Paleo Approved Snack?…

I do love my 85% cocoa Lindt chocolate and Green & Black 85%. Not sure what I'd do without them....

Hey again  Just had a look at your food diary. A couple of thoughts. I'm not sure if you're intentionally not logging food (I know a lot of people don't for primal/paleo), but it may help if you do it *really* thoroughly for a couple of weeks just to see exactly what you're eating/drinking. I could only see sporadic…

Great results! I just had my blood tested on the weekend, so it will be interesting to see the results. I've been primal for about 18 months. I don't have any previous data to compare it to, but I hope it will be good evidence to rub in the noses of the naysayers around me who are worried about my saturated fat/cholesterol…

Hi! Feeling your pain :flowerforyou: It's so dang frustrating to be surrounded by CW peeps. Have you thought about advertising locally to find some like-minded people (e.g free advertising on a local bulletin board, on Facebook or in a free newspaper)? You could start a paleo community! Do you feel comfortable opening your…

Another nice little treat is a small bowl of frozen blueberries sprinkled with pure cocoa and drizzled in full fat coconut milk. The milk tends to set and tastes divine....

Feel free to add me, paleo/primal for about 18 months

I agree to a certain extent, mainly about the processed food...not so much the sodium. You seem to be eating a lot of processed carbs/foods and very little in the way of fresh vegetables and GOOD fats (coconut oil, avocado, olive oil, etc) . The food you are eating is very low in nutrition so your body is crying out for…

Welcome aboard! Feel free to add me if you wish

Going to try making the coconut ice cream with coffee this week...
-
I used chocolate whey, it was fantastic. I actually divided the batch up into 4 serves in ramekins and covered them with cling wrap before freezing, but I found the ice cream had gone quite "icy" on the second night instead of being as creamy. Am thinking maybe I need a lid instead of plastic (and maybe turn the freezer…

I love coconut flour. I could eat it straight out of the bag! You normally use a lot less coconut flour than you would almond meal. As for "crusted things", have you tried desiccated coconut/coconut chips?
-
Oh, good lord. I made the coconut ice cream with cocoa and chocolate whey protein and ate a serve last night. You are my new god.

Lots of low level activity such as walking and SPRINTS!!!! And don't rely on the scales. Use a tape measure, pants size and body fat calipers to judge. I didn't feel like I was losing any fat for a while but after measuring my body fat found I'd lost 4%. But gained 3kg of muscle  Not sure if you've read this:…

I sit between 45-90 carbs per day depending on workouts, you're welcome to add me if this fits your definition

^^This. I eat a lot of meat as well, yet my iron levels were quite low for a while after a brief illness (to the point where I couldn't even donate blood). Depending on your loss during TOM, you may need more than usual. I'm still taking an iron supplement over 12 months after it dropped and it's still pretty average. And…

Great! Thanks for sharing :flowerforyou:

There are various methods for intermittant fasting.... http://www.marksdailyapple.com/why-fast-part-six-choosing-a-method/ Personally, I don't eat anything after dinner on Friday nights until Saturday afternoon (about 18 hours) but I haven't been fasting for that long. Plan to increase duration and do it more frequently.

Great morning protein shake recipe: Ice (about 12 cubes) 1 cup of strong brewed coffee...I like Gloria Jean's Caramel Indulgence :) 100ml approx of coconut milk 2 tsp flax meal 1 Tbsp almond meal 1 raw egg 1/4 of 1 well-ripened avocado 1 good scoop protein powder of choice ( I like chocolate whey protein, but that's just…
