@143tobe great job to you as well. I forgot about that component of helping cut down the sugar cravings. I was also addicted to sugar prior to the fast. Currently when I juice it's primarily as a supplement to my regular meals. Onward and upward

The purpose of the thread was not to sell anything. It was a question. As for the error in my information was based on external information which has been vetted here. Now I know what I am working with.
-
So on to the next topic. What thread should i look at or how do increase my caloric count while still ingesting normal portion? It seems like I'm either at in or snacking every 2 hours.
-
Masterval, Thanks for that great article. Lots of valuable information there.
-
Thanks for the article. Need to consult here more than the my old gym sales consultants.
-
Trying is the key. I will double up on some meals just to try to hit the goal but still only coming in close.
-
Thanks for the good advice dubird. I'm trying to get well over the 2k mark every day.
-
Obviously he didn't. Guess you can't always trust the sales man "trainers" in the gyms.
-
Not some very good ones. Lol The guy took my weight and a grip test for fat and compared. That was done at another gym which I no longer attend. Glad I changed.
-
I determined it based on data provided by the gym. Seems like it can be skewed based on some facts provided in the thread.
-
My bad for using the numbers provided. Let's settle at 30 pound weight loss over 6 months.

I guess that means there are no breads or anything along that line in your diet now? Last time I checked most of those have sugar. Grats on the weight loss but know your stuff before posting or these threads will eat you alive. [/quote] The key is added sugars. You can eat pasta, breads etc. It's the quality and quantity.…

Thanks for the clarification. Based on your math, which make sense, then I'm not sure what happened. I'm just going based on measurements at the gym.
-
Thank You. Totally agree. I haven't eliminated animal proteins, but processed and refined sugars are out.
-
So just to be clear the juice fast was a short term deal to get nutrients while I couldn't eat. As for dietary changes, I still eat a normal diet and exercise regularly. I may juice as a supplement after a meal that may not have been full of nutrients. The sugars in juice (kale, carrots, celery, ginger, etc) are all…

Eliminating added sugars. Like coffee, sodas, desserts. If your eating fruits and veggies you can't eliminate natural fructose.
-
Congrats in losing the 50 lbs. If your eating plenty of greens and getting nutrients in your diet then it may not be necessary.
-
Thank you for clarifying for me. I didn't know I should have been more explicit

Thank you for your comment. I am not promoting a VLCD. It was used as a springboard of not being able to eat solid foods and yet still obtaining macro nutrients. I agree that starving one self of the necessary calories is unhealthy. Currently I juice 1-2 times per week as a supplement to a regular meal.
-
I got started by doing a juice fast 7 month ago. It was great because my body received the macro nutrients it needs. Watch Fat, Sick, and nearly dead. You don't have to be any of those but the message is there.

Don't diet. Eat nutritious meals. Raw salads are great. Check your food combinations. Number one nono is carbs and proteins in one meal.
-
Yes, Looking forward to hitting my next milestone.

GREAT Job! It takes a lot of effort but it does pay off. I have been here for 5 months. MFP is a great tool

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now quickly set another goal. It will help you stay focused. It can be anything.

Currently I am using GNC AMP Whey Protein after workouts. It works great and is a good supplement.

Welcome, We all need some carbs to survive and have the correct amount of energy. It also depends on the types of carbs we consume that affects weight. Use those amounts as guides only. If you are looking to put on some muscle then add more protein.

6 of one/ half dozen of another. I think that anything that takes more of your individual characteristics is going to be the most accurate. It is hard for a treadmill to tell you how much you burned without: 1. Measuring constant/accurate heart rate 2. Height and weight 3. Age I think as long as your on there consistently,…
