i do jiu jitsu 3-5x a week, and lift 3x a week. once you are fully keto adapted you should have no problem exercising on a very low carb limit. While you are still just getting into ketosis it'll be rough. and even when you have been ketoing for a week or two, your body still isn't quite used to it, so performance will…

-23C with a windchill of -39. That is, for the americans: -9.5 and -38.5 Fahrenheit is so weird, the scale just doesn't do temperatures justice.

good points all around! I must say, most people, if they don't eat any veggies, do get some serious digestive issues, which is why i mentioned the greens. Plus, they are good for you. Bullet Proof coffee is amazing.

you need fiber!!! Veggies are not evil on keto, just avoid the really really starchy ones like carrots. Veggies like broccoli, asparagus, leafy greens are all good, and will help keep things moving. Also, less protein, more fat. like someone else has said, check out reddit.com/r/keto read the FAQ there, and you can ask…

With a good blender, it can turn out k, but hot coffee does tend to do weird things to whey protein. i like to make ice coffee with a scoop of chocolate protein.

lots of fiber full veggies, leafy greens and so on nuts and such are also great, just be careful how much you eat, it's very easy to over eat them get creative with your shakes, and cocoa, or a bit of berries(they are tooo bad for sugar/carbs). avocados are amazing for getting good nutrients, fat, and very low carb.

i picked it up at the nutrition shop. check out the low carb grocery for a location near you, they carry it. http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/storelocator.php good to know popeyes and walmart may carry it while the fat in PB is good for you, sometimes you just want the peanut butter flavour with a little less calories. I…

keto is awesome, come on over to one of the keto groups xxketo would be perfect. Here you will get a lot of nay-sayers saying it's bad for you, and a lot of completely un-educated / non-understanding people saying it's dangerous. reddit.com/r/keto is also a great community for keto information. before/after for me isn't…

You are not alone, i love all the fast and furious movies, except maybe tokyo drift, because it's totally different. I'm stoked for this one! Letty is back!! and Gina Carano is in it.

you should ask for advice in one of the keto groups. or check out reddit.com/r/keto or r/ketogains. They will give you good advice on lifting on keto.

i don't do running, but i sometimes do 2-3hour jiu jitsu training sessions. So I guess it's kind of similar. I have found that, my endurance is actually better now, at first, it was pretty rough, b/c my body was used to using the glycogen stores in my muscles, but now I think it's getting used to using the (basically)…

sorry for the delay... I'm in canada, so we don't have those stores, but I can find it at bulk barn, and at other grocery stores as well.

34... yea, i still hate my body, even though i'm fitter then probably 90% of the country.

every week: eggs, bacon, steak of some sort, avocados, cheese and coconut oil. then I mix it up with baking stuff like almond flour, and stevia, and other things once a month or so.

i think generally, if your doing keto for weight loss, the idea is to not refeed/cheat for the first couple months at least. if your doing serious weight lifting and other training, sometimes a cyclical keto diet, but I don't know much about that.

I have arthritis in my knees and I find that the keto diet, combined with getting proper sleep, and not running, keeps it at bay. it is amazing for kids, gives them confidence, exercise, and self defense.

i'm 5'10 currently 155 depending on the jeans/style i wear a 9/10 or 30/32" waist. at my lowest in my adult healthy life i was around 145, still a size 9/10 and 30" waist. I had about 17 or 18% body fat at that point. my goal is to get back down to 142-145 with about 17% body fat. I don't think my clothe size will really…

a LOT of people have had success with reversing/minimizing allergies by removing dairy and or gluten from their diet. I don't have sciencey links to back this up, but I've read a bunch of studies / news articles and have a brother in law who suffers from ashma and allergies and his symptoms are greatly reduced when he…

there are lots of people who do keto/paleo. I'm doing about 80% paleo keto right now. MOST people do more of a primal/keto thing because cheese is a common staple to the ketogenic lifestyle. If you were doing high/medium carb paleo before, your going to get hit with carb/keto flu still, but give it a few days of eating…

You absolutely should! It's so much fun and a killer workout.

wow! i could not resist the lovely smell of chocolate beside me all day!

ugh, i hate running, but i should do it lol. i do jiu jitsu. I try to train at least 5x a week, but it's hard.

lots of protein isn't necessarily bad. open up your diary so we can see it!
-
Unless your making a habit of going way over (and your calories are set to something reasonable) Don't stress it! Keep calm and Keto on. Or, go out and exercise, then MPF will give you more calories (if your into the MFP theory of cal in vs cal out).

great tips! For me, tracking makes all the difference. I won't eat sweats b/c I know I have to log it and then see it in my diary and other people will see it! I also find that setting short, medium, and long term goals really helps me stay focused and keep on track. for example: short term: today, i will eat 2 servings of…
