33! I thought I was pretty okay! But it's true. I will NOT go into a hot tub with other people because of needing to wear a bathing suit. I usually spend for EVER making myself up if I am going somewhere with a lot of people I don't know in an effort to 'hide the flaws'. Working on improving it though!

    36. it is hard right now because people keep commenting on my body because i lost about 10 pounds and i have to get used to it, i have social anxiety so the attention makes me very nervous and self conscious. i am working hard on having a positive self image and hopefully i can love myself more and more

6 points, guess it would have been higher a couple of years back when I had 'the keg' ;-)
  • SCORE 40+
You are suffering from a condition called body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) which is translated as body hatred.
    That's me too...

I scored 64. I'm pretty sure I don't have BDD though, I'm just very fat and I know that I'm very fat.

I got a 25, lower than it should be probably, but not as bad as it could be I guess

I got 10, but I think that's more to do with being a sociopath than my self image.

    The test is highly flawed.

I knew it was bad, and I know that I have wayyy too many emotions tied to my weight and appearance, but I never thought of it in that way

I wasn't surprised to find out that my score was 60. I absolutely hate my body. I always have ever since kids called my fat-*kitten* as a child. And it doesn't get any better as I get older. Even when I was thin I felt fat. Think I got a problem?

I got a 77 :-( The more weight I've lost the more self conscious I have become. BUT that being said I don't think I have BDD.

SCORE: 56. Says I suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), translating to body hatred.

    Sadly, I agree.

    42. I expected it to be high, but wow.

40 points, apparently right on the borderline for BDD according to this quiz.

BUT, I have social anxiety disorder and some of these questions are about situations that would trigger that. So I'm not sure how accurate this actually is for me.

I also have social anxiety and yeah, as soon as I saw some of those questions I thought about that anxiety. Even when I was a little more comfortable with my body I was uncomfortable with it in social situations.

That's why I'm trying to work on my anxiety along with my body because even when I was more fit and looked closer to my ideal body type I still had the anxiety holding me back.

27, And I hate my body, and am an Ugly *kitten*!! Test is screwed up!!

I think the only thing that saved me getting top marks is the fact I don't care what other people think of me!!!

I took it twice - the first time I answered the way I would have 6+ months ago when I was at my worst and again how I'm feeling currently. The first time my score was 76  and based how I look at myself now it's 28. Still not great but a huge improvement I guess.

19 when I answered it for how I feel now, 58 when I answered it how I would have before I started losing weight. While going from 240 to 203 probably doesn't seem like a ton, apparently it has made a huge difference for me! I hated my body back then. Now I'm totally cool with my body, but I'm still working on loving it.
  • 74, holy moly....I knew I hated my body, and I know it makes me seriously uncomfortable...Looking back, I realize how much it has held me back in social situations, but does this really mean BDD? I suppose I could be perfectly fine at this size, but because I am not, that makes me BDD? Maybe I am just fat and don't like it....
