My husband is type 2 diabetic and we saw his A1c numbers go from 9.5 to 6.9 just by losing 8 pounds. He needs to lose 35. Good luck I am glad you are seeing a difference already.

Great Post! I spend a week every summer with a group of women who pig out daily and sit around complaining about it. I would like to for once go on this trip and they keep silent about how much they ate all week. The purpose of the trip was not about food but they seem to really focus and groan. It is so frustrating.

My man has watched me have 4 babies. The first baby 19 years ago and the last 7 years. Giving birth is beautiful but only the baby part of it. If I need to let loose then I will. He can't however come in the toilet with me. Honestly, I can't even say the words.. P and F... hahahahaha

I am pretty sure the op is reacting to all of the comments that are done in a NOT very nice way. It is okay to give advice but some of the advice is presented in a very RUDE manner. Of course a person is going to get touchy and attack back. I just think if people would present advice in a respectful way they would get a…

OP , I am glad that you are happy with your body. There are too many women who have a poor body image and it is refreshing to see a woman who does not. You will find that the public forums have a lot of people who say they are trying to help. Some of their advice is actually good but it is the rude condescending way it is…

I never think I am as big as I am. Over the holidays I was at a department store all of a sudden I saw myself in the mirror and could not believe what I saw. I am short and I looked as wide as I was tall. I have been working hard since then and have lost 7 pounds I have 100 more to go.

You might lose more weight at first but I believe you will plateau quicker. Your body needs fuel. Try out the mfp recommendations and give it a month. I promise you if you stick to it you will lose. Some days I was eating over 2000 calories in a day because of exercise and I still lost that 44 pounds with ease.

It is not about deprivation but balance. Making better choices but still enjoying your food. You can do this....

Read what the above person posted. It explains it. I can tell you from personal experience that I "ate" back my calories and lost 44 pounds back in 2009. Good Luck and I hope it all works out for you:flowerforyou:

Happy Birthday and Congrats. By the way you look so much younger!

The RUDE people I am referring to only gave opinions in a RUDE way. Advice that is helpful is done in a non condescending way. It is done in kindness with some actual helpful tips included. Not just gum flapping about how he is now going to fail. By the way what scientific study have you done that has proven to you that…

:flowerforyou: Good for you! You just added years to your life.

Congrats! That is really great. Listen to the good advice and ignore the negative people. I find that mfp has some really rude people that is why I choose to be part of a private group. A lot of people seem to think it is a good quality to just say whatever they feel like. You need people to cheer for you and encourage you…
