Hi I am 59 also and prediabetic. I got down 5 per cent of my body fat. Feeling so much better. Exercising twice a day and 5 minutes weights. Don't log the exercise and stay within 200 of your goal.

Those scales are not that good. I had the same experience after the first 5 weeks and all I can say is chuck them and use a measuring tape plus scale.

Well not knowing you but I read: you have a healthy baby, you have a job, you are passing a course, you have a boyfriend , you lost at least some still of 19 lbs, you love animals and keep them alive, you take out garbage, you have painful parents who show their love through worry ... And you show your love for everything…

Maybe you are a bit stressed. Food is a good thing, it nourishes you. So eat what is healthy and you can always add some healthy nuts and fruits to get up to very close to what you should be eating. Cutting out diet coke and sugarless lollies helped me, they have so much sodium in them that the scales go up. Putting only the tiniest pinch of salt in pasta helped, as did cooking veggies in the pasta.
