  • After a bit of a hiatus I lost a lot of my MFP pals, feel free to add!
  • Hi guys! I’m from Melbourne but currently live in the US... but still very much Aussie and missing home and friends. Looking for people who like to chat and provide accountability and motivation. I’ve been using MFP for years and years but recently got back into it. I log my weight loss and getting back to exercise after…
  • Hi! I had VSG in Mexico 7.5 weeks ago so still new to the game. Would love to add a few surgery buddies. HW: 242lbs SW: 233lb CW: 196.6lbs Obviously still losing but my goal is 130lbs. I’m 5’7” and currently in a size 12-14 pant and Large top (that’s down from an 18-20 pant and XXL top). I wore a Size 11W shoe prior and…
  • Hi there, I'm pre-surg. Have had my initial consult and psych evaluation plus nutrition counselling and now just waiting for the rest to get scheduled. Would love some support! Vee
  • Hub's just got the S3 and I'm getting one in a couple weeks. I think it is far superior to the iphone and anything the Apple can do, the Android can do better. i have to be honest, if I compare the ease of use of the Android vs. Apple, the Android wins. The only reason I would consider the iphone is because I do…
  • LMAO. Well for those of us who don't drink anything but water (unless it's tea or coffee <Also contains water!), we're screwed eh?
  • LOL. Oh it did hit the Aussie shores... I think there is less publicity about it is all.
  • 5km = 3.2 miles (approx).
  • Human nature is to bring others down. It's jealousy. Someone told me I was too skinny once. I just told them that no, I wasn't I just used to be too overweight. That's 230 - 185. Then I pointed out that between toning and some more loss I still had a long way to go to get to a healthy range for my height. I'm OK with them…
  • I love your "never say die" attitude.
  • Definitely noticeable! Looking great!
  • Can I make minus the butter... or with coconut oil? I can't have dairy... I'm keen to try this and have seen it on fellow paleo diary's but not sure of the ingredients or where to buy? Does it require special coffee?
  • I'll cure you. I'm 33 with an almost 14 year old and a 10 year old. Babies grow up and they have HUGE attitudes. Want mine?
  • Better to find alternatives to boredom eating/emotional eating/comfort eating. Don't not eat when you're hungry! That's when you're supposed to eat!! Diet pills are full of chemicals that will ultimately mess with your metabolism and give you false confidence (thinking you've 'learnt' how to cope with eating habits. No…
  • Hahahahaha. Out of the mouths of babes. I do believe mine said (at that age) that boys were icky and had germs. Mine will be 14 in a couple months and she 'dates' at school (ie: has a boyfriend at school). I'm trying to swallow my fears because the next think is a chaperoned date! *passes out*
  • Errrrr.... My Husband would probably threaten him with his shotgun but I think that you need to confront him on this. It's on YOUR computer and it's illegal stuff. Some kids are just interested. I know I've watched more than one doco on drugs and whatnot but it was more so I could show my kids the devastating effects.…
  • Paleo since March. Feel free to add me.
  • Primal/Paleo works in totally different ways to a traditional plan. Remember this is more a lifestyle change than a quick fix diet. I don't find that I can 'eat whatever I want' as many Paleoer's do (and by that I mean not worry about portions etc) and I definitely need to stick with logging my food but you should yield a…
  • Shape wear of any type is handy if you just need a little nip in. They have all that stuff at Ross and TJ Maxx, etc. I found them handy on my wedding day but I do wish I had got my butt into gear a lot sooner. From now till next Wednesday I recommend a high protein diet. Do NOT minimize water, your body needs it to…
  • Here's the 411. You won't get a response to those online ad's. That's not meant as a bad thing but job hunting these days has morphed into a "who you know, not what you know" deal. You need to network (ask family and friends about job vacancies, get them to put your name out there, create a profile on LinkedIn or…
  • Cypress, TX... NW Houston. <Always lookin' for some great, local pal's!
  • You deserve a really big pat on the back. There is a lack of selflessness is society these days and I don't think anyone would blame you for needing a rant. I have struggled with emotional/comfort eating since I had my own two kids. I understand being a single parent completely (however mine weren't high need, neglected…
  • Of course calories matter but the primal/paleo lifestyle doesn't advocate strict calorie counting. I do because my food diary does it for me otherwise I just keep it to stay accountable. Carbs seem to be the biggest factor for me so they're the things I watch carefully. A typical day for me is between 1300-1600 cal's. I…
  • Totally. Have a look at the women here who are toned, who have obvious muscle and who don't pay those Personal Trainer's @ some gym's who have done a 20 week online fitness course. There is sooooo much stuff online. Buy an Olympic bar or use one at the gym. I prefer home.
  • Heh. I married a guy ten years older than me!
  • Delish! I love anything with cauliflower. I love buying the purple and orange varieties for a bit of color. We make non-potato cauliflower salad and mashed cauli too. Kids don't even notice the difference. Total win!
  • I made this for my friends celebration and it was the first time she'd had matzo ball soup since being diagnosed with celiac (she cannot tolerate any form of gluten, she ends up in hospital). She thought this was delicious. http://www.elanaspantry.com/matzoh-ball-soup/
  • There are some super simple, paleo/primal friendly ice-cream recipes out there. I make my own and my two kids can't even tell the difference. You can also buy almond and coconut milk icecream at the grocery stores these days. A good alternative for the cravings without the bloating afterwards.
  • LOL. Raw eggs have been used by many for years and years without major issue... The SAD (Standard American Diet) with it's refined sugars, processed food and genuine crap is more of a concern than anything. I don't eat any grains so I have no idea about soaking wheat (you'll never be able to convince me that grains are…
  • That's ridiculously inspirational. I have a friend who is near the 400lb mark and he's miserable. I tried to get him on here but he just can't seem to keep the momentum. I hope that one day he can get to where you are.
