  • Totally agree!! You also have to remember that some vegetables such as corn/carrots can be high in carbs and that adds weight. And if you are diabetic like I am I count every carb that goes into my mouth.
  • There is a very interesting website called Millions Against Monsanto (also a Facebook page). Most countries refuse to use their seeds and products but used here in the US. All the hormones in our foods is one of the main reasons little girls are getting breasts and their periods at the age of 10. IF I can get it and IF I…

  • My husband, who is not diabetic, and a good portion of my friends have this issue. We all take some kind of Vitamin D supplement. I am of the age group who thought nothing of lathering up in baby oil and hitting the pool or beach and many are now paying the price.

  • I don't understand how unsweet tea is not good for you. If you are concerned about the caffeine you can buy decaf tea also. I always start my day with a cup of green tea but don't drink too much more green tea during the day than that.

  • Target or Kohls. I don't like to spend a lot of money on clothes I sweat in and the brands at either store holds up well.
  • I have never been a milk lover ....skim is just too watery. Have switched over to Almond Breeze unsweetened original mainly because it is only 2 carbs per cup and is sugar free. Use it mainly when I have my cereal.
  • Hi CKWS!! When I was first diagnosed i did go into a panic. My house was in an uproar as I was in the middle of a remodel with NO kitchen. All I could think about was remembering when my mom was diagnosed and her having to get everything sugar free. I spent time on the internet reading as much as I could regarding diabetes…
  • I test myself every morning first thing and then sometimes after I work out. If I think that a meal is affecting me than I will also test about 2 hours after to see if that food did affect met. I am only taking Janumet at this time.
  • I am allowed 30-45 grams of carbs for each meal. For breakfast I tend to gravitate towards Kashi cereals with a lower carb ratio and I always use unsweetened Almond Milk because it is lower in carbs than regular milk...and tasty!!
