If regular stool softeners and laxatives don't work, milk of magnesia can usually solve the problem temporarily! Also, being hydrated is essential. Sometimes waste dries out in the colon, making it difficult and painful to go. Try totally flushing out your system with water.

I can definitely relate. Living in the dorms has made me gain so much weight. I don't know how your cafeteria is set up, but I always start off with salad and water, and then go to other foods. If I were you, I'd not only plan for food, but also plan for a busy day. The less downtime you have, the less tempting the unhealthy foods will get!

New clothes! There are a lot of clothes I've always wanted to wear, but wouldn't look good on my body. When I get to where I want to be, I'm taking myself shopping!

I check the scale every morning. I pee, take off most of my clothes and check it. This keeps it pretty consistent from day to day, and can show me my true progress. Your weight WILL fluctuate throughout the day, so if you check it, keep in mind that you do weigh more throughout the day.

I love peaches and cream instant oatmeal from Quaker. One packet is 130 calories, and it will keep you full for a while. :)
