Maybe try not to stress until after your endocrinologist appointment and seeing what your blood work looks like. It's been particularly cold here lately and that alone is a stress on certain medical conditions.

Have you been tested recently to see if your medication is in range against your blood test numbers. Research I have been doing on similar medical issues indicates this is a huge factor in symptomatic issues of the condition and things not working quite right. Numerous studies indicate meds may need to be seasonally…

It sucks. Still waiting on meds and a endocrinologist appointment. That being said, while it is hard and your calories are lower. I've heard if your meds are optimal it is possible to Iose. This part about meds I have no first hand knowledge of. Only rumors of it. It took me 2 years to lose 55 pounds, and while I haven't…

I have 2 half sisters and a half brother all older than me by 10-15 years. all knew I existed, and have rebuffed all attempts at a relationship. I hear glimpses into their lives from time to time. I became a great aunt 2 years ago. Funny thing is one of my nieces and my daughter look so much alike people have stopped my…

I last ate fast food in May of last year. Backyard Burgers. The only reason was because it was all that was available near the hospital my husband was having open heart surgery at. I lived at the hospital for the entire time he was there. It was either eat that or starve. I got lucky a few times, my little brother brought…

I may not get to eat a lot. I may not be your idea of perfect weight. My bmi is in healthy range. Granted it's the upper end. I have still lost 54 pounds and kept it off for over 2 years. Thyroid issues and all, I'm healthy and wear a size 4/5 with a 27" waist. Would I like to be 135 again, yes, but the calorie drop…

I always sort of feel like I need to send my surgeon holiday cards for taking the pain away. After all was healed up. That pain free feeling is awesome.

Before 7 am every single day I log 5 miles at work. By 2pm I have another 3 miles logged. I work outdoors. I get my exercise. Thyroid issues.
-
wow. I feel sorta fat and frumpy now. It won't go any lower, the scale I mean. Still waiting to find out what meds and get them. endocrinologists are pathetically slow.

My maintenance calories are between 1300 and 1450. Been maintaining on that for nearly 3 years now. Is it frustrating, sure. Do I sometimes have to be hungry to do it, yes. But I like myself again, so it's a good trade off stats: 40 years old female 5'7" 155 pounds the calculators for me are dead wrong. I weigh everything…

Have them run more than just your TSH, ask for Free T3 and Free T4 and your TPOab/ag to be done as well. I could have written your post. I am currently waiting on an endocrinologist to determine exactly what is wrong with my thyroid because after seeing 3 doctors, I resorted to paying out of pocket for the blood work that…

Do you feel better? Recover well

healthy workforce? by who's standard? yours may not be their idea of healthy. your sex life is a contributor to health, so is your marital well-being, relationships with friends, family and others. where does it stop being ok? liberty and control of your own body once given away are not given back.

They came for the Communists, and I didn't object - For I wasn't a Communist; They came for the Socialists, and I didn't object - For I wasn't a Socialist; They came for the labor leaders, and I didn't object - For I wasn't a labor leader; They came for the Jews, and I didn't object - For I wasn't a Jew; Then they came for…

Beyond the way this is pushing triggers personally in the OP, this is wrong a number of levels. Leave aside the discount for just a second, where does this stop the constant intrusion into your personal life by an insurance company or an employer? Those that seem ok with this are you going to be okay if they want to have…

No particular why, But lots of reasons to keep it up. I was military once, and the thought of continuing to be fat by those regulations shamed me. I like having mirrors in my house. Got rid of them while I was big. I like nice clothes, and never would buy them while heavy. I love knowing I beat the odds living in the…

I got out of bed. No extra hair fell out today, and I managed to sit down before I fainted.
-
you will feel tons better after. I was back at work 2 days after.

they lied. it's a feel good tool. But then again it could be me, just discovered I have a thyroid issue, so your results may vary. Mine didn't. I lost only 1 pound from that experiment.

I have no gallbladder. without coconut oil I would not poop more than 1 time a week. with coconut oil I can go daily.

I own 4 food scales. One lives in my purse, one at the office and 2 at home. I grocery shop then bring it home and Ziploc bag everything into pre-portioned out servings. I weigh daily. I also tried the if everyday were like today thing to see. I ate exactly the same stuff daily for 5 weeks straight. I might be a tad OCD.
-
this can work to your advantage sometimes if things get...um, backed up. 1 tablespoon coconut oil and Bam! no more back-ups.

I felt better after it was gone.

For me, just finding out after suspecting for a couple of years that my thyroid is indeed screwed. I know the ONLY way I could lose anymore weight right now is to drop to extremely low levels and maintain there for weeks just to get a maybe 1-3 pound drop. I got told in these forums, CICO, you aren't logging right, you…

I usually end up with numerous small chunks. My chicken hasn't been in big pieces since I started this. My cheese either
-
I buy chicken and cut it down before freezing and weigh it out. Weight is written on the bag. So yes, some if us really *do* ONLY eat 3 ounces.
-
sweet dill relish and coconut oil taste pretty good mixed together as a salad topper. thyroid issues suck. favorite salad: pineapple raisins lettuce the above mentioned coconut oil/sweet dill relish. regular dill relish is also good. have determined broccoli makes me hurt. so does soy and salt in any sort of quantity. good…

I don't think any of them care. I had to go 3 hours drive away. pay out of pocket for a doctor willing to authorize some labs to be done above what my insurance would test. Then pay out of pocket for the labs that proved I was right in what I suspected to get the ultrasound from my PCP with my insurance agreeing to pay for…
