I must not be that bright! The science behind the bodybuilding suggest, it is complicated. It could be it's beyond my comprehension. What I have read is that when you eat a deficit there is going to be muscle loss.

it's been working for me the past 15 years and it's was part of the training I did to stand on stage in a bodybuilding show. Took home first place for my age class

with any muscle group I always seen the best results when failure is achieved. After a warm up, I start heavy and then pyramid down, raising the reps. When I can't do any more I do negatives till failure. I do not workout that muscle group again for at least 7 to 10days

isn't that a contradiction? how do you cut and heavy lift?

A bad back that does not have enough time to heal will stay with you the rest of your life. Rest and ice it to keep the swelling down. The last time I hurt my lower back I couldn't walk for two days but I followed the Doc's advice and it took about 3 weeks to get back to walking without pain. If you're worried about…

I do test like: how fast can I run that mile! at 50 years of age can I still squat 300 with proper form and no injury. the best test of all, can I move…

I've lived in 5 states and been in gyms in everyone. The gym of yester year is gone. It can be as friendly as you make it. I would say find someone who is training at your level. A power lifter or bodybuilder that has been working out would not make a good training partner. You could hire a trainer or ask someone to give…

Where to start. The first bodybuilding show. Running a marathon. At 50 years of age, the vanity is about gone but I do feel good when i take my shirt off on the beach.

If you get a TRX, I've had some great workouts using body weight. You could do the old school Charles Atlas workout. https://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/kelly4.htm

I'm no scientist but the research I've read says BCAA does help with protein synthesis. I would love to read more about the research. Please don't take it that I'm saying you're wrong, because my knowledge is limited on the subject. I found it's hard to find good reports, most are ads to sell BCAA.

life is long so take a long view, train for gains and plan for 10, 20, or 30 years. With both eyes on the road at your feet you will never see the world ahead.

Here I'm at 50 and I feel like I'm 30. it's worth mentioning I'm in much better shape then most of my friends. A program is great and track your workouts, you'll want to mark…

Good shoes for walking. Also if you have a few steps, I have a set of 3 steps I walk up and down.

I've always thought stiff leg DL target the hamstrings, the lower back is involved and if your not using the full range of motion then the stress is on the lower back. I was always taught if lifting heavy then squats and dead lift should never be done the same day or even back to back days. They are two huge compound…
