You can find a lot of equipment on CL or offer up real cheep. Some Planet Fitness gyms are $10 bucks a month. There is no reason we can't workout anyplace and as long as we are using resistance training muscle will be built.

When I ran the one marathon. I was ever humbled when at mile 23 a woman clearly older than me, power walked right past me with ease. She was wearing a T-shirt that said marathoned in all 50 states. Just like the others said, good shoes and only use them for running.

It's a great question. Like R2R said. I've always planned ahead, the longest I stayed with one program was 10 weeks, other then a maintenance phase. The closer I get to the goal weight the harder it is and you have to trick the body.
