This is first time that I have felt that people understand my problem with trigger foods. Why? Because, everyone in the group has similar issues. For me, it is a motivator to see and know that people make it, conquer and change, with the help of their Higher Power and working the program. 1 day at a time. 1 week abstinent!

I was hooked on the scale, weighing sometimes daily-hopping on and off. A therapist that I am seeing to help me deal with the mind stuff behind why I use food for more than nutritional needs, recommended monthly, I tried it and it wasn't enough. So, I've chosen weekly. It seems right for me. I appreciate kdwardtn's link.

It really helps to keep us accountable. Now, it is not only to ourselves, it's our myp friends as well. You can't fib when you track your food and exercise; you see the truth glowing at you!

I agree with Stephanie. You need to up your calories or your body can go into starvation mode. Some days 1500 is fine, but I wouldn't do it everyday. Consider eating more vegetables and cutting down or spacing out the fruit throughout your day. Great success to you!

Weighing in a the same time once or twice a week is really enough. Weighing one-self can become an addiction like food. When you are on program, don't let the scale control your emotions or feelings of self worth. This is much easier said than done. We have to refocus! It's likely water weight gain... especially with…

It all depends on how much one weights, age, and activity level how many calories you can eat to lose weight. The recommendation is not to be too drastic. You goals have to be livable, doable; if not, it is self defeating. Reasonable goals are from a 1-2 lb weight lost per week. Of course, the more weight you have to lose…

Beautiful comes from within. You are what you believe. Your boyfriend likely wouldn't be with you unless he cared. Give him some credit for having good taste. Look inside your soul, rediscover that flame that says, I AM! Keep trying, success only comes with patience. Cheers to you for the 10 pounds. That is a big deal!…

You can do it! I started with a exercise routine yesterday. 30 days to a new habit! 2/30 YAY!

4- 5 servings a day of fruit is okay. Some folks believe you can eat fruit like you drink water! Everyone metabolizes food a bit differently. It is really great to be aware. Oranges and bananas go immediately to my blood stream, I can feel the sugar rush, so I err on the side of caution.

You can focus on the upper body, with arm bikes, punching a bag from a chair, modified chair aerobics. Wishing you continued healing!
