beer....soak it in beer with lots of garlic & chopped onions for 2 - 3 days & that'll help tons....1st venison my x ever brought home was from an area where the darned critters ate CEDAR TREES....strong & gamey yuck....also 50% 50% with hot pork sausage will help compensate for the extremely low fat & fine grained texture…

I've been working straight midnights (19:00 -> 07:00) since August of 1989 (25 years this summer) & have flipped my schedule by 12 hours....my breakfast is 19:00 hrs (7 pm); my lunch is midnight & my supper is 09:30 hrs (9:30 am) & my sleep is usually 10:30 am 'til 17:30 (5:30 pm) ->18:00 hrs (6 pm) so I'm still getting 7…

ya I find every time I think I can get away with unsalted butter or peanut butter it's another sneaky 400 calories for 4 tbs all together while my light 37% less fat cheez whiz (my favourite anyway) comes in at a measly 120 calories for 4 tbs SOOO I put that on baked potatoe or veggies or with chopped green onions in a…
-
ya...I did that before having my Peanut Butter & Cheez Whiz on Whole Wheat Brown as a "snack"....it took up 430 of my remaining 434 calories for that day....drank a couple of cups of water instead to tide me over 'til I could get to real food for my 3rd meal after sleep....was worth having that scare eh!
-
I like the way you think....had'nt thought of more lunch style types altho I should have....I'm the 1 who eats more savoury oatmeal (made with a bit of butter & garlic) as a side dish because I am soooo tired of rice & pasta THX for the pointer eh!

Truth.... I'm lucky....my omega3 brown free range chicken eggs are fresh from my boss's farm & if they were any more free range they'd get run over by the school bus LOL Tons of nutrition for 77 calories....
-
yup....that's WHY it works & I got sick of having garlic surimi for breakfast eh!
-
How 'bout poached? maybe poached in meat broth to add meaty flavour? (there are a couple of recipes for BACON BROTH around) I hate the whites too....if the could make just yolk eggs I'd be a happy one for sure....I think I'm a litte grossed out about what the whites are anyway.... The only way I can choke down my 2…

I'm from Canada EH! & have been working straight midnights since August of 1989. You won't find logging foods you commonly use difficult at all....you weigh it once then the handy-dandy Recent & Frequent lists that MFP generates with your data means you can just click it to add it to any meals One trick I learned was to…

ya I knew it was a joke but I'm dealing with some genuine followers & it puts me into orbit trying to politely guide them to real sources so it kinda triggered a bit of venting eh! ;)
-
Me too....I was starving & also sought other sources for daily caloric reccommendations (why doesn't MFP have a spellchecker eh!) & found MFP was the lowest so I split the difference until I was well underway....research is alway good....especially with so much bogus diet advice everywhere...BTW there's a ton of really…

I don't watch it, but I remember my ex getting me some pills that totally destroyed my stomach because Dr. Oz recommended them!
walking thru a room I've possibly seen a grand total of 8 minutes over the years but my crazy allergist keeps posting his stuff on facebook & twitter then…
-
yup....& it's a riot up here ....lots of people watch Dr. OZ & don't realize Canadian laws on foods in particular are different & some of the nasty stuff your food.inc agribusiness has gotten away with is regulated & controlled much differently here....makes stuff more expensive but safer eh!
-
Rule of thumb: If Dr. Oz recommends it, it's legit. I mean he's a doctor people!!
Dr OZ is a business man with a personal agenda & promotes what he sells....if you want accurate info read peer reviewed journals for the actual published & debated clinical studies....kinda boring but much more accurate as well as…

THANKs for that link....I just used it to look up webber naturals PGX daily ultra matrix softgels & while I've already fixed up that entry in the database now have xtra details so I'll go do it again eh! ;)

I wouldn't....I've got a great friend who drops me off at the BOTTOM of the hill & I walk back up that way I never have to do the downhill part except once in a while....uphill is faster for cardio & flatground is great when my mobility is compromized so all has its place....you're just starting out & I wouldn't wish a…
-
You'll likely gain quite a bit of thigh muscle but more of a concern from my experience is that I'm great going uphill & on flat ground but DOWNHILL is extremely hard on my knees so I wouldn't recommend RUNNING downhill for any great distance....perhaps a slow jog or trot to get back home?

I go with the "20 minute rule" or fall back on my toothpaste diet the toothpaste diet work by whenever I feel hungry without cause I go brush my teeth or use mouthwash so that everything will taste disgusting for at least 1/2 an hour (except chocolate which just tastes like chocolate-mint anything) the "20 minute rule"…

GREAT SUGGESTIONS Thanks both of you!....BTW susannamarie's bacon recipe find is MUCH better than mine

Great! THANK YOU for that bit of research....I'm a dismal cook but I have many chefly type friends who just love to practice on me so I'll point them there AND while you were helping me out I googled too & found a recipie too called "BACON YOU CAN DRINK THROUGH A STRAW" LOL Bacon stock Ingredients (makes about 1L): • 350 g…

NEVER Red Bull....if you MUST have a boost (& who doesn't sometimes) I use only 5hr Energy (which has low caffiene & B vitamins with ginseng) OR Emergen-C (which has vitamins, electrolites & antioxidents) OR Rhodiola 500mg but other than that it sounds like you've got a solid plan....1 thing I forgot to mention was that I…

All the "kids can be cruel" remarks sound like they're being excused from proper behaviour....NO EXCUSES....it's just plain WRONG.... What ever happened to teaching kids (so it's still in effect when they're adults) "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all!" AND "Don't make personal remarks!"....these are…

My granddaughter climbed up on my lap when she was getting to be about 4 or 5 years old so was too heavy & hurting my legs I asked her to sit beside me to cuddle....she refused saying she'd rather sit on my lap "because you're nice & squishy"....NOT how I want to be remembered by my grandkids eh!
-
"Korean dried squid for the win.... burn calories chewing a rubbery piece of meat" where do you find that....almost sounds like meat flavoured gum which I'd find tempting especially if it tasted like bacon....? tho....does it look like squid or is it somewhat disguised?

lizwizCYLS I'm "Liz" I'm a "Wiz" & "CYLS" is the local Canadian Regional Airport callsign which gives a general location without identifying in generally unsafe conditions my tracable location

CONGRATS on finding something that fits in for YOU....I'm in the same boat except I can't even watch videos (i'm working straight nights) SO i discovered that 1 circuit around the outside of the workroom is about 30 steps & if I do 48 circuits as fast as I can it comes to exactly 10 minutes @ 4 mph which I now do several…

Actually we have 3 or 4 "exotic" foods every Thanksgiving & Musk Ox was just 1 more thing to try along with buffalo, elk, caribou etc & it was a total surprise that it was gross & disgusting as I thought it would be most like buffalo....the Merganser Duck was a young hunter's error but I've always liked teaching my gkids…
-
Musk Ox - roasted....most digusting thing I've ever had....2nd place goes to Merganser Ducks....dumb college kids I was hunting with didn't understand the difference between diver ducks & dabbling ducks....dumb but very ethical & 'the rules" are....you shoot it<->you eat it....Merganser bits all thru the game stew....ended…

I've been making Mexican Hummus which is hotter than regular to help with the thermogenesis & it tastes great on cucumber slices instead of chips or crackers
