  • I'm always looking for friends to help motivate each other!
  • I completely understand what you are saying, but I do not agree. Looking at it more as a fun way to track something, and compete with office mates, might make you a little less negative of it. My mom, for example, loves her fit bit. When she first started wearing it she was only getting 3000-5000 steps per day. She…
  • So glad you were able to find something that'll get your heart rate up! I hope your ankle heals quickly!
  • I like the changes you plan to make! If I think of any more I'll add to the spreadsheet! I know you already said you were leaving the daily calorie log- but I wanted to add that I'm glad it's staying. One thing I really like about it, is being able to see one after the next how my days eb and flow. Versus here on mfp where…
  • Yes I mean final goal. My final goal is 130-135ish. That means I'm 80 or so pounds away from my goal. Since I plan on sticking around with this group for a while ( ) it would be neat to track my overall progress along while following monthly. And thanks for adding it!
  • Hi there! My name is Katy, I'm from Virginia. I'm 28, my husband and I have been together for 9 years and we recently married in September 2015. We are trying to get pregnant as soon as possible, but I'm also trying to get my cycle on track. My doctor thinks that my cycles are messed up because of my weight. So goal #1 is…
  • Hi Everyone! I'm a few weeks behind you all, since I just found the forum post a couple of days ago. I'm getting caught up. To answer VeryKatie's original post: 1. I find exercise challenges the most motivating. For example- push yourself for 5 more reps, or 5 more minutes on the treadmill/during a run. 2. I think trying…
  • Feel free to add me! I'm hoping for some new friends and motivation on here! I'm more likely to stay active when I have friends on here who are active! :)
  • I'm eagerly waiting for Christmas morning so I can open my new sewing machine.. I've been using a very old one, a Singer from the 40's that I bought at an estate sale. I got a Pfaff, I can't wait to get it open and start using it. My first project is going to be the tiny squares quilt from purl soho. I'm also working on…
  • I use a dash of really good maple syrup and a bit of half and half.. I drink one or two cups. Most of the time I don't even log it. One cup is roughly 40 calories. (coffee, 1 tbsp half&half, 1 tsp maple), so even if I drink two cups, don't log it, and hit my calorie goal for the day. Two cups of coffee only puts me over by…

  • I sent both^ of you requests :)
  • Have you talked to your doctor? I'm sure they can help you with the best course of action. Google search TDEE, and do it to 'gain', that's how many calories you'll need to eat to gain weight.
  • Thank you everyone! I have about 65lbs. to lose.
  • I'm looking for friends too! Anyway can add me!

  • I'm in too! Looking for more friends- anyone can add me!
  • Mine is not picky at all. He will eat anything I put out and takes turns cooking dinner as well. What I would do in your situation, is stick with the things you know he'll eat and healthy them up. I don't know how to classify a 'husband approved' recipe. Sorry. My sister in law is the pickiest eater i've ever ever met, and…
  • Talk with friends and family too- if anyone else is losing weight or has a bag of smaller clothes tucked away maybe you can get some 'hand me downs' even if only a couple of shirts work out, that's still a couple of fitting shirts that you didn't have or didn't have to pay for. I go through my clothes often to take to…
  • Do you like egg or chicken salad? I steam (hard cook in the shell) 8-12 eggs each week. I peel them and keep them in a covered bowl in the refrigerator. For a quick lunch, I'll chop some onion and celery, the egg and a spoon of mayo into a bowl. I'll either eat this on bread, romaine lettuce leaf, or by the spoon. When I…
  • Anyone can add me as well. I just started back here about a month ago, and the friends I had accumulated two years ago, most have gone quiet. I like the interaction on my wall and getting feedback when I ask a question or on my diary. I have lost 9lbs since Mar 18th. I'm looking to lost a total of 85lbs.
  • Hi! I just started back in the middle or March. I'm down 5lbs! I log in most days! Anyone can send a friend request! I'm looking for more motivated people! Good luck on your weight loss. I've got about 80 total to lose.
  • Coffee powder? Like instant coffee?
  • Half & half, I don't measure I just go by color. So if it's a lighter roast I'll put less, darker roast more. A tiny bit of sugar, sometimes. And occasionally I add a serving of protein powder. It's a pain in the *kitten* to mix it up. But it tastes good.
  • I wouldn't respond. I'd ignore whoever it was. Just, turn and walk away. Besides, who cares if you were using the gym as a social hangout. Are you not allowed to do social activities?
  • I started the series three weeks ago on Netflix. I'm all caught up and now a fan! Can't wait for the 8th, and glad I found this group!
  • Who was in Speed with Keanu Reeves
  • Find a hobby. Learn something new (sewing, photography). Read. Go for a walk. Volunteer at the local animal shelter. Plenty of things to do.
  • An addition you might find helpful would be to give your face a wipe down with the witch hazel before you begin heating up and sweating. That gets any makeup off your face so your skin can breathe and could prevent your pores from getting clogged up with your makeup.
