Cool, thanks! I’ve heard good things about the Clif builder bars, definitely going to try them!

I tried the Mean Green juice as seen on the Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead doc. The first time I made it exactly as written and it was so strong with the lemon I couldn’t drink it. The next time I made it I toned down the lemon, less kale, added an orange. At first I was like, ok, I guess this isn’t...bad? But then I was suddenly…

The Enell bra is like armor, I really like it although it is weird putting it on the first time, takes a little getting used to. Also-highly recommend getting a professional fitting. I used to think I was a 40DD, in fact I wore that size for YEARS. Until recently I got measured while at a fitting at a professional bra…

Keeping under 100 carbs is good. Keeping under 50 is great. Keeping under 20 is awesome but requires dedication, and will most likely put you into ketosis. To learn more about ketosis I can wholeheartedly recommend this site: http://josepharcita.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/guide-to-ketosis.html No matter what you decide, I…

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the advice! I think that the best approach is to make some daily goals-things that can be accomplished. Setting a date and a number weight goal does seem to be counteractive, so I'm just going to stay focused on making the most out of every day instead of hanging myself up in a number.

Frob has some great advice. I'm new to keto myself, but I've spent about two months researching it before I jumped on the bandwagon. First off, your calories are way too low. This was a mistake I made as well starting out. I set my calories at 1300 which was almost a 1000 calorie deficit per day. In other words-wayyyy too…

Please eat something. Going on a water fast while trying to sustain a low carb diet to enter ketosis is a recipe for disaster. Please, don't play around with your health. If you choose to do a low carb diet, it is very important to inform yourself about the process and keep your electrolytes in balance at this time. You…

About a month ago I would have been astonished that I could ever have been free from my Coke addiction. I mean, I woke up in the morning and was practically ready to hook myself up to a Coke IV. Then after chugging one of those, a nice cinnamon roll or two...great way to start the morning! I'm basically just thankful for…

Yep, I'm with you there. I also feel happy with the rate of loss so far and there's no reason to change anything. I definitely eat when I'm hungry, but interestingly the mindless snacking is a total thing of the past.

Don't despair! I actually found that it's easy to fear eating too many calories, but in reality you need to eat enough to avoid those blood sugar dips that cause bingeing or unhealthy eating. Have you calculated your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure)? There are lots of calculators online…

I'm kind of annoyed because I was scheduled to get an IUD in, but now I'm going to have to put it off until who knows when, since they normally put it in the last day of your period. Blah! I think my period is just really sensitive to any change.
-
This is my first period on Keto, and it seems to be kind of late. Annoying, I've been tracking my periods for years and they were finally getting close to normal. I still have 2 days until it's actually overdue, and I had mega lower back pain yesterday and today, so it might just be on its way.

How's that going for you?
-
No, you're right, they don't count as much, but they do count! I don't follow it religiously but I do try to keep to it now in the starting phases. Plus I think it depends a lot how much you have to lose, gender, and a few other variables ;)

Here's what I've gathered after reading a ton of articles and posts. Ketostix can be relied on to show if ketone bodies are present. Apparently, there is no such thing as "low level" or "high" ketosis. It's an either or thing. That said, ketostix cannot give a false positive. They can however give a false negative, for a…

This page has been very helpful to me: http://josepharcita.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/guide-to-ketosis.html

Name: kittyneutron Reddit Username: myfriendm Stats: Female/37 Location: Norway Hiya! I've been doing the MFP thing since 2012, successfully lost 40 lbs, gained back most of it, after getting very burned out logging and following a low calorie/low fat diet and getting tired of starving constantly. I've been looking into…

My skin has actually cleared up dramatically. I've only been on it for 9 days, but about a month ago I started breaking out in these weird red bumps that looked awful and would not go away. My boyfriend has even noticed! He has excema which also cleared right up. Do you usually have a problem with acne? What type of break…

You do look absolutely stunning! Best part is seeing that glow and sparkle in your eyes!

OMG. I am having a hard time believing that is the same person. Amazing!

You look, absolutely beautiful. WTG!

Veldig bra, takk for informasjon. Hvorfor tror du at du spise mer av den? Det er vel ikke så dyrt, tror jeg vil kjøpe snart!

There are a whole lot of things I can't wear and look completely goofy in. But I love my maxi dresses-at 5'9 (1,75 m) they are perfect-I wore one recently on a long flight, it was such a comfortable outfit :) Hilariously enough sometimes maxi dresses aren't even really long enough for me, most of them just barely hit my…

I was born in the US, and I agree that Norway at least is very unforgiving of overweight people. I mean, seriously-we have plus size stores that start at size 12. A size 12 in the US is THIN! You will turn heads in the US at a size 12! I feel like a model when I'm in the US. (haha!) I find it so depressing that our major…

Ugh, I have this feeling too! I'm just now really starting to notice that I can buy much smaller sizes, but like you I can feel a bit self conscious. Even though I have lost weight, I still haven't lost much in my chest, so even though I can wear tighter stuff I feel a bit weird about it-I'm used to seeing my body in the…

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'll just have to keep trucking and hope this plateau lets up soon!

I think you can eat where you want, the main thing is to plan ahead, research your options and be aware of the calorie content beforehand so you know if you can fit it into your diet or not. That said I consider eating out anywhere a "treat" and so it isn't something I would do everyday, but I know some people probably do…

Aww, this is SO awesome! I am really happy to see your progress pics-you've been a great friend to me here on MFP! I can't believe the difference. You have just literally shrunk. You look so fit and glowing now, and that dress really shows it well! You've worked so hard and I hope you really pat yourself on the back for…

I thought I could join in here too, I have been amazed at the changes in me in such a short period of time! I have also posted these in my blog. Here is my before picture. Right now I don't have a picture of me at my heaviest, which was at Christmas, but this picture was taken in October and...I look pretty big. My stomach…

You look fit, strong, confident and beautiful! Wonderful!
