  • I done a low carb diet last year, no carbs at all for 7days, I lost 7lb that week. The next week I had 50gr of carbs everyday, and I still lost 3lb. I then went to 100gr of carbs and started exercising everyday only 20mins and a short swim 10 mins and I continued to lose 2lb each week. It was HARD and I feel ill the 1st…

  • Just thought I'd let you know how my 1st week went. BLoody hard!!! Its been a challenge and I think I am in teh swing of it now. The scales told me that my hard work is paying off 6lb off in 8days is really great.
  • I started this last week, asked questions on teh forum but few people had any advice really. I have lost 6lb in 1 week & I'm not particulary big 145lbs. I done protein only days and protein and veg alternative days. Only tried this as I hit a weight loss slump, dont know if its good long term but for a quick fix it worked…
  • Sometimes I have a more relaxed week, eat the same, exercise less days (3) and I tend to lose more. I was told its because I gave my body replace and recover time so that when I worked out hard to it fully charged to do so and worked properly. At least once a month I do this for a week.
  • Eggs, Tuna, Lentils, Red Meat, Chicken Breats, Greek Yogurt, Soya, Dairies, etc... will give you the proteins you are looking for [/quote] Start strength training, muscles will soon appear
  • This is a brillant method as an add on with cardio
  • Just be careful with baked beans as they are packed with salt and sugar
  • I think that this will vary from person to person. I found out 2 years ago that I have rather bad endometrios due to entering very early menopaus. I have been on the depo to prevent me falling pregnant until I get sterilised I have found it near impossible to lose any weight. How ever I have changed my body a lot by…

  • I am really amazed at the amount of foods that I have found in the supermarket that are rich in protien and low in carbs that I really like. Shame that they are so expensive, but its a small price to pay as I am runnning out of ideas and losing my weight loss battle. So far so good :-)

  • Thanks hopefully I can cope with this for 3 days tbh I eat pretty clean so phase 2 should be ok. Finances play a large part for me with a family, so I have stuck to foods that I can only afford rather than what I want.
  • I guess you can say that any "diet" or weight loss regieme os bad for people with ED's I've been recovered for over 5 Years now ... and now over weight ..... MY ED days are behind me Just after any advise from anyone who has done the Dukan diet before? OR anyone who would like to have ago whilst I do it?
  • After returning from a 6 miles jog slog in the great english rain .... this made me smile more than my son handing me a cuppa! I must admit, I really think that any effort is better than none, but seriously if you really need to lose weight shaking your weight with shake weight seems like a never ever option of working.

  • Mke sure you have fuelled your body 2 hours before with food that will substain your energy. Play some motivating music Set your self a route, with recovery points so that you can stop, compose yourself for a minute or 2 and then onto the next recovery point. Make sure your eat enough protien after to recover your muscles…
  • Road running is very stressfull on your entire body, but thats why people take supplements like protien and fish oils so that the body can repair and replace so that it can perform. Field/ cross country running is less stressful. BUT its deff better than doing nothing. She was lucky I wasnt there hearing that, I bet she…
  • I am not a veggie but I do eat quorn, for one its cheaper and 2ndly the protein content is huge, calories are low, iots quick and simple to cook with. It has always had a place in my fridge along side normal meat and always will do.
  • I put rather a lot on too and it coinsides with my depo, but have to stay on it whilst I am waiting to be sterilised. I did speak to the nurse who said take water tablets at the ovulation time every month to help beat the water retention, but I havent ovulated for 5 years and cant seem to work it out when the right time…
