  • hi there! always looking for more highly motivated people! ~ i'm a 43 y.o. married mom of two teens (a boy and a girl) ~ starting weight: 299 ~ current weight: 216 ~ first goal weight: 180 ~ ultimate goal weight is somewhere in the 150-165 range, but i'm not sure because i haven't been that 'small' since middle school! :/…
  • my primary form of exercise is walking too - love it! i did want to start doing something for my arms, tho, so i've added in wall pushups, resistance bands and some light dumbbells, which i try to use every day, even the ones on which i don't get my walk in. walking was doing wonders for my legs and i knew it was great…

  • you are beautiful ~ congrats on changing your entire life ~ and keep on enjoying it!! :)
  • i have the same issue - and i agree that you can't target any one area. however, i have added pushups (i'm doing wall pushups for various reasons) to my day (i do 100 a day right now, not all at once) and lifting dumbbells - and i am noticing my arms are beginning to tone up quite nicely. there is still some 'flop' but the…

  • i never thought of a personal diary or log ~ but that would be cool, too! :)
  • yes - i would have logged them. and i would have had the gum and logged that, too ~ LOL. i have even logged breath mints. drastic, but logging is what has made the difference for me this time when eating better and exercising, so - at least for now - anything i eat or drink goes on the site!
  • so many GREAT ideas!! wow!! and i can now understand the debate about the "like" button. i'd prefer to think that i would "LIKE" the comment and STILL add a personal note, but i can see where some would just go down through and click click click ~ it would be nice to have a "YOU ROCK" button tho, wouldn't it? and a "YOU DO…
  • i have to say that i also would love to be able to access everything from my phone - and to see a different 'charting' of exercise implemented because i have also created an excel spreadsheet to keep track of my exercise so i can see it more clearly. OH, and the ability to delete a post or comment would be FABULOUS!!! i…
  • ~ and sometimes i miss the notifications, too ~ and then i feel badly if someone has commented or asked me a question and i haven't responded ~
  • ~ these are all great ~ and some of them i hadn't thought of! i think my biggest one is the photo thing ~ i only put pics in a thread once because it was such a difficult, clumsy process . . . or maybe it's just me?? LOL
  • wowza!! i have to agree with everyone who posted before me ~ you look amazing and i'm betting you FEEL great, too! :) good for you!! thanks for sharing because this IS motivational!! ;)
  • i also tend to eat pretty much the same thing for weeks on end - at least for lunch. dinners are more varied, but even then i have a few 'go-tos' that tend to get in the mix much more than others. i don't think it matters unless you only ate ONE thing at EVERY meal and were ignoring nutrients, etc.
  • ANYTHING by flo rida ~ awwwwwww yeah!! haha ~ especially 'good feeling' ~ even exhausted, i get a renewed spring in my step!
  • you are beautiful in both pics ~ BUT i can see that you are feeling so much better about you in the second pic - and i agree : you definitely look younger now! way to go! :) think how much stronger and healthier you are in 10 months!! thanks for sharing - this is very motivational!! :)

  • thank you! :) i am mainly using them in stretching ~ but i do like them. i realize they're not a replacement for real equipment, but right now i am BROKE ~ and want to keep working out. if i don't mix up what i do, i know i will get bored. and i did find some 'workouts' online - just wondered if i was doing myself more…
  • NO ONE?? :(
  • yayyyy!!!!! that is a GREAT nsv!!! :) ~ one of the reasons i joined MFP in the first place was because my doctor told me my only recourse was weight loss surgery ~ and while i have several friends who have gone this route successfully - and while i cannot rule anything out in my future - i wanted to try diet & exercise one…
