Hello, my name is Jolene and I have been at this for some time now. I have lost 137 pounds by counting calories on MFP. Welcome, and feel free to add me as a friend if you would like some motivation and support.

Hello, my name is Jolene. First of all, you have done the right thing by coming back to MFP and asking for help. I have lost 137 pounds so I understand how you feel. There were many times that I felt helpless and hopeless because I would give up and gain back any weight that I had lost. I had a doctor tell me once that a…

Hello, my name is Jolene and I have lost 137 pounds, so I can relate to your concerns about extra skin, which I do have. My doctor told me it could take between one and two years for your skin to tighten up and also told me to not expect the tight skin I had when I was 20. One thing she suggested which really does seem to…

Hello, my name is Jolene! It takes a strong person to reach out and ask for help as you have done. You have come to the right place and you are not alone. 5'4", 170 pounds; I am 5'4"and started out at 262 pounds. I understand your feeling of helplessness. Feel free to add me as a friend and I will do my best to encourage…

I am kind of in the reverse situation. I'm the one who has lost a great deal of weight. My husband has been sensitive to me and careful how he says things. But what I have appreciated the most is him telling me that he notices my body changing. I like it when he tells me how good I look to him. I like it when he tells me…

I don't do "cheat" days. I stay with eating at the amount of calories I need to maintain my current goal weight. However, when I'm going to take a vacation or go out to dinner for a special occasion I make the choice to eat whatever I want. The next day or the day I arrive home from vacation I go right back to eating the…

I am 57 and have lost over 135 pounds. It is never too late. I will say however that if you lose weight at your younger age your body will bounce back better than waiting until you're older. What I mean by that is I have former obese woman scars such as stretch marks and sagging skin that I may not have had if I lost the…

Hello! Feel free to add me!

I am now maintaining my weight also. I just continue to use the MyFitnessPal application as I used it to lose the weight with the exception of upping my daily calorie intake. It is what works for me.

It bothers me too! I try to not obsess on the scale and to remind myself that I'm eating within the parameters of my plan which is what is important to me.
-
Agreed!

I just wanted to show you guys that the scale really doesnt matter. I'm about the same weight in these two pictures (145) and im about 5'4. Its all due to clean eating and exercise! Still trying to lose about 20-25 pounds but im definitely happy with my progress! Thank you for sharing...you look great and have encouraged…

I've been using my fitbit since June and I really like it. I find myself more aware of my activity level and more motivated to get out and move. I hope you enjoy yours too!

???? Too funny!
-
Because its delicious? lol I would rather have bacon than leave the skin on, any day! The recipe can be easily modified to fit your or anyone elses, personal preference :) Me too!

I have some in my profile pics

Too funny...I'd never considered that could be an issue. Interesting, the things we discover after losing a significant amount of weight.

Height: 5' 4.5" Heaviest: 262 Current: 151 Goal: 138 Age: 56 It has taken me about seven years to reach a 110 pound loss with 34 of those pounds being lost in the last 3 1/2 months with the help of MFP.

You are right, it is a sad reality and I have many regrets of not being able to do certain active things with my boy as he was growing up. At least now, I will be able to be active with grandchildren!!

I don't follow a religion, I follow Christ and to me, that is beginning to feel like the alternative spiritual path, interesting thread :-)

I love the chocolate vegan Shakeology and have been using it for two months. I add ice, water and 1/2 cup coconut water (for the potassium) and that's it. I continue to lose weight, feel good and energetic and have a noticeable healthier digestive system. And...I'm not a BB coach.
