Chips are huge for me too!!!! I love Blue Diamond brand Nut Thins (the pecan ones are my favorite). They are gluten free (I'm a Celiac) rice & nut crackers. Nutritionally they are a bit better than chips - and they satisfy that chip/cracker thing.

Extra Virgin Olive oil....in the summer lemon infused olive oil (since the lemon is slightly astringent - although I hear grapeseed oil is good).

The lower heart rate means you're in better shape (and yes, your heart is stronger)! Congrats!!! I am about your age, and (while I often get my heart rate up into the 150's/160's during a workout) my target heart rates are 109 & 145 (109 for light/moderate exercise, 145 for intense).
