I started running at a young age then when i got married and finished my term with the Army i stopped running. I started back a few years later and my times were way way off from what i was used to seeing. Start slow and add more easy time, don't worry about others. A lot more people will phrase you for jogging 20 seconds…

for every pound of muscle you put on your burning 50 extra calories ....or so i was told.....maybe he is bulking you up then add cardio later and you'll see lbs fly off?

I agree with talking to myself, I tell myself 1 more lap ( 1/4 mile) then when i hit that i tell myself a little more (1/8 mile) a little more and keep myself going a little further than planned each time.

i'm only 5'5 and my doctor told me i have high blood pressure and should be 165 or close to it for my size, i lift weights 3-4 times a week. I may not eat too healthy but i have cut down on junk food like chips and chocolates except here and there. Anyone know a easy way to find out body fat percentage?

Thanks everyone for the advice, since i got much needed sleep I am feeling alot better. I think I will still take it light and if i still feel good in the morning then run it up.

Find ways to make exercise enjoyable, don't think of it was something I have to do, think of it as something I want to do.

I'm not a doctor or specialist in anyway shape or form but i think it all depends on what you are doing to lose the weight? Are you dieting correctly? exercising regularly? etc etc some people wont see results right away where others might, just keep a positive attitude and you can do it!
