In general it is never safe to self-medicate whether that means taking medications or stopping medications. I am not a doctor so my only advice is to call a nurse line or your doctor's office and ask if stopping the medication is safe. So did you match your BMR to your calorie intake? Im 20 years old and was diagnosed with hashimoto's disease at around 17 but i've been gaining weight. I am also borderline anemic and diabetic. I've just started a workout regiment and am changing what I eat. I guess we'll see if it works.
