One of the main tenants of CrossFit is that repetition is the enemy. This week at my box we have done knees-to-elbows, overhead walking lunges, GHDs, burpees, running, stict pull-ups, and strict presses, among others. Take a look at my boxes website steamboatcrossfit.com. Our workouts are up since february. Of course,…

I love doing xfit! It makes me feel stronger, I can do things that months ago (heck, even weeks ago) I was unable to do. I love that I can modify, scale, or otherwise alter *any* workout to my level and I am constantly inspired by my own strength and achievements. If you worried it will be too hard, see if a box has an…

I wear a lot of different styles and levels of makeup (just see my pic!) BUT I don't do it for girls or guys. I do it for me. I love playing with colors and techniques and shading. It's like I can become an entirely different person, on the outside, anyway, with makeup. Plus, depending on what my makeup is, I can access…

I kinda have a thing for 3, but if she were taken I would be ok with 2 ;)

Epic.

Mine is just my hand. It's hard not to cut my head off. ;)

7 minutes of burpees? Bring It On!

I have never been a big drinker, for the reasons you listed. I never liked any of that, even when it wasn't "that bad." I will have a drink rarely, maybe three or four times a year, but generally speaking, I am a tetotaler :)
-
That is much more acceptable. Duh.

I do both, sometimes on the same day, but usually if I do them both on the same day I don't do tons of both. Usually I try to do walking lunges when I am at the grocery store so that I get some random extras in there :)

I switched mine :) After looking at the BMR for a person at the weight I want to be, I realized that 1200 calories just wasn't right, so I bumped mine up to 2000 :) For my height (5'4") I would end up weighing 82.1# on a 1200 calorie diet. Hello anorexia!

198 this past year. Being 24 and only 64 inches tall, it freaked me out to say the least.

Try eating something small and mostly protein at night after you workout. It can help keep your metabolism going through the night while you are sleeping and thus help you lose weight. Also make sure you add weights if you aren't already as muscle helps burn fat

It's ok if wii dancing wears you out--in fact it's a good thing  I played the "just dance" game at a friends house a few months back and even though I am in the worst shape of them all, I kicked their butts because I didn't mind sweating and I was having fun.

Exercise can also "reward" you with more calories.
-
Awww that *is* the best! ;)
-
Heck Yes! If only because muscle can help burn fat :)

Hahaha! I know! I wear seriously old tee-shirts that I tiedyed years ago :) There are a couple of girls who wear (no joke) only LuLuLemon stuff. They also usually have at least one new item every day.

I'm with ya! It's really good :)

Sounds like your weekend was DELICIOUS! Sound advice :)

Ooh, I almost always forget about the ThinkThin bars *jots note and tapes to computer* Thanks Becky!

Thomas makes bagel thins that are 110 calories per bagel. I think they have a couple more bread-like things, too.

Yes, but it can also be good for you to start at the slightly higher caloric intake. Once you understand what that looks like in terms of food, you can start to whittle down the calories as you see fit. Just be careful of dropping too low in calories because they are energy and your body needs them. The biggest thing is to…

This can help you understand the number of calories you need to take in if you were never to exercise. I suggest putting in your current weight, writing the calories down, then plug in your goal weight and look at the difference in calories. Also, for a week just eat the second amount of calories, to get used to the idea.…

The more you exercise the more you are going to start craving water. Also, set little goals for yourself--You said you have been drinking 3 glasses, start trying to get a fourth in there three or four days a week. Another option is to get a water bottle that holds 24oz or more of fluid and try to drink at least one a day.…

Fantastic! Thanks for the heads up :)

Har. Har. The wagon is reserved for those who are ok with falling off of it occasionally ;)

I'm with ya. I feel a bit like the new ones are a little...fad-ish. I saw an article in Self, maybe (I can't really remember), and the woman who was giving examples of how to do some of the moves is A) super skinny--not strong and B) the weights are sad! She was using a 1# KB. Seriously.
