  • Hello, all... I was just recently diagnosed with T2 diabetes after having my yearly physical. My father has been a diabetic since my teen years and my mom was recently diagnosed as well about a year or so ago. I am just slightly over the a1c threshold at 6.8 but it's enough to make me realize that my eating choices and…
  • I wouldn't worry about what others think. You're there to do your own thing and if they can't appreciate that, then forget 'em! You know what your body is capable of, not them. If you feel you need the belt, wear it and wear it with pride! :) Good for you for getting in there and doing your thing!
  • I'm right there with ya! Lost 25 and stopped tracking thinking I had it right..then just gave up completely :( I realize I do need MFP to keep me on track so here I am again! It's a slow start but I'm trying! Feel free to add me!
  • I treat myself each time I hit all my small goals (5 lbs each). But my treats are really a savings for when I reach the big goal and will be in need of new clothes! Every 5 lbs I lose I'm adding money to a prepaid card I have (which doesn't cost me anything because I get it free where I work.) Sunday I should hit my -10lbs…
  • My fave is 92 grams egg beaters omelet with a serving of sliced mushrooms, handful spinach and serving ff shredded cheddar cheese topped with 2tbs. Salsa. = less than 200 cals. I'll usually add coffee with creamer (105 cals) or half bagel thin with light swiss laughing cow cheese wedge (90 cal) I also have a snack around…
  • I so needed to see this post RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT! :) Funny how things work out like that. Came to the support board not to cry, moan and groan about overeating (which I didn't do as bad as I would have a month ago), but to see if others have this love/hate relationship with food. When I start a diet, I start to see food…
  • Although I don't like their main food buffet, their dessert bar....I could eat that all day! Had the peanut butter shooter - amazing...and their bread pudding..droooool!

  • Nothing wrong with being nerdy! I, too love doctor who and my fiance is an Uber sci-fi guy! If he buys one more star wars lego or action figure we'll be forced out of the bedroom for lack of space! Pizza, reeses pieces and Nutella are my weakness...
  • That is the mindset I'm trying to instill within myself - it's OK to splurge on the extra calories on occasion! And biscuits and gravy is an awesome way to splurge!! :)
  • Being as this is a support board and she's looking for help in her situation, I'm not sure why this is a taboo topic? She hasn't given up his personal information and hasn't bad mouthed him and called him names so really I'm not seeing the issue here :/ Although my fiance isn't trying to sabotage my weightloss, he does…
  • Manager at a payday loans and check cashing company. It's not glamorous but it pays the bills! :)
  • mindylynne@gmail.com I've had my fitbit for over a year and minus a couple months where I forgot to reinstall the hardware to my computer after having to wipe it clean, I track it! welcome to add me :)
  • Same for me, repeat offender! I started my new healthy lifestyle Jan. 1, 2015 (just like millions of others!) but this time around I hung up a huge poster board in front of my treadmill which sits in the living room so every time I walk into the kitchen I have to pass it by! Looking at those numbers while I run/walk on the…
  • I only record what I weigh in on Sunday mornings before I eat and dress for the day. I will step on randomly throughout the week, but like others have said, it changes so much I really only go by what it says on Sunday morning! just today I stepped on the scale in the morning and in the evening and there was almost a 2…
  • I actually have a lot of random songs on my ipod I shuffle through - some fast, some slow....just some of the ones that help keep me going are below...don't judge at my taste in music...lol Problem - Ariana Grande and Iggy Azaela Work B*tch - Britney Spears 3 - Britney Spears Toxic - Britney Spears P.Y.T - Michael Jackson…
  • The main point here is...Don't Give Up! I've had a few really crap days over the past couple of weeks and have felt like "what's the point?" myself, but what you have to realize is that the work you have done up until this point is not all for nothing! You had a few bad days..big deal, pick up and start again! If you need…
  • Hi! Feel free to add me as a friend if you like :) I'm on MFP daily and keep my diary open and I try to comment as much as possible. Good luck in your new journey!
  • I'm planning my wedding for April 2015, and yes, my pending nuptials gave me that final kick in the pants I needed to finally start doing something about my weight! I am definitely sweating for the wedding, but I'm not stopping there :) I wanted a lifestyle change! Congrats on your engagement and on the decision to make a…
  • It's always better with friends! we're about the same with weight and goals..feel free to add me :)
  • Same here! My biggest weightloss was 80 pounds. I got settled, had a child and just "gave up" on my healthy lifestyle and the weight just piled up. My goal is to lose 75 pounds this time and I'm down 17 so far. I definitely have my ups and downs and days where I just want to cram everything I see into my mouth but then I…
  • I'm right there with all of ya'll! Started at 225..down to 208, so plenty more to go!!! My goal weight would be about 150ish...so I have about 58 more pounds to go. I am aiming for my first goal hit by Jan. 1 - 25 pounds down..almost there! I want to start 2014 with a positive!
  • MFP works if you work at it! It's just a tool for you to use to help you stay on track and accountable during your weightloss journey. The best part, for me, is the positive feedback I get from other members. They help keep me accountable and being able to record my food/calorie intake keeps me on track with what I eat.…

  • Yes, it's difficult. I step on the scale daily, expecting it to drop drastically, but it doesn't and it won't. We didn't put the weight on in one day, we won't take it off in one! We just gotta take it one small step at a time and cheer the small losses as we would the big and before you know it...the pounds feel like…
  • I'm from Kentucky, not GA, but feel free to add me! I log in daily and do my best to add some motivation throughout the day! :)
  • I've been obsessed with logging in daily since I began my journey a few weeks ago. It's like an extension of me, now, and everyone in my family knows once it's time to eat, I grab my phone to log the calories :) It's keeping me on track!! Feel free to add me :)
  • It's always difficult to get started, but one to two weeks in and it becomes a habit to log your calories. If you don't always have access, keep a notebook around to log your calories and when you get a moment, plug them into MFP. Changing the bad habits we've picked up over the years is not an easy thing to do, but it IS…
  • What they said! It's all about YOU being motivated to do this for yourself :) I've said year after year "when I lose the weight..." and a few weeks ago I just got fed up. I had a complete heart to heart with myself, opened up the treadmill and jumped on it. It's hard. It is a long, sweat-filled, road to travel, but once…
  • Pizza from Casey's Gen. Store. I saved the calories knowing I was going to eat at least 3 slices of a medium cheese pizza....first slice in and it was sooooo greasy I just felt sick after eating. I at 2 1/2 slices and regretted it afterwards, not because I gave into my pizza craving but because it was so disappointed I…
