  • I watched a great documentary on Netflix yesterday called Fed Up. I think dumping the sugar, including all forms of natural and manufactured sugar, is a great idea. But, I'll stick with my healthy fats (avocado, nuts, coconut oil) to keep me full!
  • I'd be interested in seeing what kind of food you are eating. Enough healthy fats and healthy carbs? Cutting out sugar? I am eating about 1200-1500 calories a day. I feel like I am always eating just to get in that many calories. Protein, veggies, healthy fats like avocado, and small amounts of fruit have helped me lose…
  • Even though I won't quite make my goals, I've exercised more than ever in a month. Also, I started Whole30 10 days ago and I've been lifting weights on a regular basis. For me, those are BIG wins. Walk: 15.19/20 Bike: 212.28/250 I'm going to try to bike tomorrow and Sunday also. My knees have been cracking sometimes when I…
  • That happens because your Fitbit is already tracking your movement. No need to use MapMyFitness, too.
  • As of 4/18: Walk: 11.19/20 miles Bike: 161.28/250 miles I started eating the Whole 30 way on Monday and I'm excited to see where it takes me! I started lifting weights consistently last week so I am hoping to lose big numbers this month. Setting these exercise goals has helped tremendously!
  • I figured I should at least post my totals: Goals: Walk: 11.19 miles/20 Bike: 86.28/250 Going to exercise now!
  • I was doing great the first week, but I think I was overdoing it! I was having some leg pain. My chiropractor was able to adjust me and help it. But, I had to rest the last few days. Back to it today and I'm hoping my pain subsides.
  • I love this thread! This journey is so much about daily accountability and goals. How encouraging! My goals for today: 60 minutes of exercise Log all food and Stay within my calories-1200 Drink 72 oz of water Apply for 3 jobs
  • Great inspiration, everyone! I lost 46# about 4 years ago. I gained about 20# back. Since January, I've lost 10# and I'm working on losing 15# by end of June. I'd like to lose 15 more by the end of the year. Ultimately, I would be down 63# from my starting weight. This would take me down to the lowest I've been in 20+…
  • As of 4/6, Walk: 7.2/20 miles Bike: 71.2/250 miles My ultimate goal is to meet my active calorie goal every day of April. So far, I'm on track!
  • I am happy to find this thread and all the other threads about PCOS. I was told years ago that I had PCOS, and the doc put me on the pill. I was young and had moved out of the country and the effects were adverse so I stopped taking it. Fast forward 15 years later...about 5 years ago I lost 46 pounds, gained about half of…
  • I'm back to logging my food. I re-started in January, and I've finally gotten into a bit of a exercise routine. I'll take the challenge so I can create better habits. Goals: Walking Distance: 20 miles Biking Distance: 250 miles So far, Walking: 2.17/20 Biking: 33.2/250 Also, I'm working on meeting my active calorie goals…
  • I'd recommend not weighing for a month, at least. Focus on logging your food and exercising, creating healthy habits. A few years, when I first started using MFP, I didn't believe I could really lose weight. I waited 6 weeks to weigh, and only then bc I had to weigh at a dr. visit. I lost 10 pounds and was in total shock…
  • I'm thrilled you started this thread. I am looking to follow users who eat high protein/low carb so I can see what they are eating and get ideas.
  • I have a recipe for Monster cookies that I modified. As far as I can tell, they are about 170 calories each. I substituted the butter with a can of pumpkin and I can't even taste a difference. I used only egg whites. Also, they only use oatmeal instead of flour. I didn't have enough oatmeal so I put in psyllium husk and…
  • I started last year as a US 20W weighing 233 pounds. Currently, I am about 193 pounds in a US 12 (curvy). I am 5'4". Last year I was able to log my food 180 days in a row on MFP. This year I am shooting for 365 days in a row! I also started using the app PACT which connects to MFP and I am logging more veggies/fruits and…
  • What a FANTASTIC thread! Most of my calories are snacks. I snack all day, especially now that it is summer! I eat 1/4 cup of prunes at least once a week. Mandarin oranges, banana dipped in chocolate silk Jif, guacamole with blue corn tortilla chips, half of a PBJ on Sara Lee light wheat bread.
