Thanks but I’ll take the expert medical option of the UC Nuero Science Center for epilepsy and all of their specialists. I have seen many of them as I’ve been evaluated several times for surgery and all kinds of alternative treatments. I have multiple types of epilepsy and seizures. I appreciate your attempts to educate me…

Many true epileptologist do not recommend for older epilepsy patients due to potential kidney damage. It was a research based diet for pediatrics meant to be given to epileptic children in a controlled hospital setting. That’s how the diet began. When their overweight parents and others noticed the “side effects “ of…

Thank you, bower my doctor strongly advised me against the KD. I am doing well on the medications I am on and the Celiacs played a part in my seizures. So by following a very strict Celiac diet I have been able to reduce from 3 to 2 anticonvulsants. Unfortunately celiacs tend to gain weight naturally often. I also have…

I forget that answer but to my surprise- garlic and onion (fresh and dehydrated in processed foods labelled”spices”) also affect many of us as they are also in the Fructan category with the glutens - wheat, barley, rye. I know I look for everything to be certified gluten-free and my meats nitrate and nitrite free. Cross…

I have no clue if the will be helpful for the bread substitute - there is a bred version at the bottom of this. It was posted by someone on my mow carb group. Good Luck - L I'm going to dedicate this thread to low carb 'MIM's, which for those of you who are unfamiliar with the MIM, these are low carb flax meal muffins,…

I use it on carrots and celery as well as whole wheat crackers. I put the cream chees one on my bagel thins or light englis muffin. I often use the garlic and herb, swiss, or chipotle ones as a spread for my wrap sanwhiches. I love all of them. I use the french onion one as a "dip" for my light potato chips. sometimes I…

I am a birthmother who has been in reunification for almost 4 1/2 years. My son is 22. I had 2 other kids (girls) with my current husband. They are 13 and 11. My hubby says the same about me. I didn't get checked because I felt fine. When I had to be tested for food allergies (by blood test) I found out I had 28 food sensitivities. Once those were treated - we all slept great. (I did get sleep apnea ruled out as well just in case - no machine for me!). Good Luck.

Hello all. I am a Former SBD girl who had lots of success on the plan last year. After my father in law was killed (run over by a car) I packed on all the weight I once lost. I know it worked for me in the past so I can do it again. I am starting with phase one as of today at least for a few days. I am not so sure I will…

Even with the healthiest food if you eat too many calories its stll too many calories. I am looking forward to combining the plan that I…
