Hi, Folks. I've been in and out of MFP for probably 7 or 8 years. I was recently started on a medication for a chronic condition and promptly gained 25ish pounds. Now I'm off the medication and trying to get back down so that I can fit back in my clothes. My initial weight loss was about 70 lbs but I'd be much more…

I, too, feel as though I've seen and read everything, but I still feel compelled to watch the new stuff anyway.

Not to mention, the GI effects of Maltitol. Not fun.
-
Holy Cow!! That's amazing. Congrats!
-
@MistressPi thanks for the links. I can't wait to try that bread!
-
I've used a milk frother, as well. You won't get a lot froth like with a regular blender, though, if that's what you like.

(Sorry- didn't mean to hijack with the above) - There are lots of Keto groups who are all about high, high fat, fat bombs, Bullet proof whatever. Your body doesn't need extra fat in order to burn body fat. It DOES need adequate protein. Try dropping your fat a bit.
-
@Sunny_Bunny_ Would you mind sharing your macros? I know, I know, every body is different- I just like a little frame of reference. I struggle to get my protein that high, without supplementing with whey protein powder.

Love, Marriage and Dick! Happy Days!
-
lol- Sorry, but the acid and hand grenades visual made me laugh.
-
Wow- @nicsflyingcircus - long time, no see. I don't get in here daily, but haven't seen you in quite a while. Glad to see you!
-
Do you know when/where we'll be able to see it? (On work computer. I can't play video from here)
-
That whole thing looks really good! :p

I've been using an Alabama white bbq sauce. It's mayonaisse based and vinegarry with just a little sweet. (I use Stevie or erythratol)

I had horrible blood sugar issues (hypoglycemia) back when I was eating "healthy" Cheerios. I stay very far away- same goes for the wraps. Not worth it.
-
Well done.
-
Thanks for the link @FIT_Goat. All the ones I see have added sugar.

Hellertown, PA. USA. I've been eating this way for what feels like forever. I've lost about 55 lbs.
-
Pennsylvania, US. Seems like forever. (Pay no attention to the beer I'm holding in my pic.
-
@camtosh, that's what the Carolina Gold nuggets look like.
-
I tried the Carolina gold nuggets and maybe I got a bad batch, but they never popped in the microwave- had to use the oven and even then, some didn't "pop"
-
Oh, I wish I could find salt and vinegar pork rinds. My store only has plain ones.
-
Well said @baconslave! People worry about too much protein and GNG- but you would have to consume a very large amount of protein for it to be a problem. (Unless you have kidney issues). I've been trying to bump my protein up beyond the 1.2 and decrease my fat consumption (versus increasing fat via fat bombs and bullet…

I've had them. You really need to rinse the bejeebers out of them then dry fry them. I haven't tried them with pesto, but that sounds good.
-
Well, I'm still here. What more do you need? Kidding. But, in fact, many, many people who were active on here a few years ago are nowhere to be found, now.
-
I've used xanthan gum occasionally- you only need a VERY TINY bit- like 1/8 teaspoon.
-
@KnitOrMiss What was the outcome? Anything worth trying?
-
Yes! I've lost +- 60 lbs 5 or 6 years ago; started out low carb, went Keto about 3 years ago. It IS sustainable if you believe it to be so.

Check out the Low Carber Daily Forum!
