I use the old UP band, but the interface is the same. I linked mfp through the app and it adjusts my calories automatically when I sync my band. I log my activity through the UP app.

I had the sleeve done Oct 2010. I can tell you that you will start to eat a healthy amount of calories within 4 months. The first two months were completely liquid. I agree with concordancia. That's all toning. You'll want to do pilates type exercises and core strengthening systems.
