  • Thanks for the warm welcome. I am down 4.5 for the first week! That's the most I've ever lost in one week on anything I've tried. Going to have to start changing the salads up some so I don't get bored.
  • I've been in this group for a long time, but I stopped posting because I wasn't following the plan. I decided to start the 6-week plan on October 31st, so this is my first week. So far so good, and I'm down 2.7 pounds. I decided to blog my way through the 6 weeks and tell as many people as possible so I don't quit lol!
  • I have a hiatial hernia so that impacts it to a degree. But I also notice that it is tied to my weight. The more weight I am carrying in my stomach, the more instances of heartburn I have in general. When I am not carrying that weight, water won't do this to me. Might not be the case for everyone, but that's my big…
  • Yes they are! I'm also following the Eat to Live plan so I pretty much have to have them! I love them though so it is easy!
  • Still struggling with this idea. I was talking to a trainer at my gym and she's really into lifting with her clients. I told her what I was doing and how much I'm struggling with my weight. She told me to keep my fat at 33 grams and protein at 80. I checked to see how what I'm eating compares to that and I'm averaging…
  • Great job! I'm dealing with thyroid issues myself so I'm not sure Phase 1 is going to be all that astounding for me, but we keep pressing on!
  • Well I'm vegan so I'm not going to judge anyone cutting out food groups...but never in my life have I heard that legumes are bad for you. Quite the opposite in fact. Amazing anti-cancer properties, great plant based sources of protein and fiber.
  • Cool! I stopped worrying about trying to get better at running because I don't love it. I like HIIT but was not getting the results I'd hoped for in the long programs. I'm going to go through a few more weeks, then maybe add some short HIIT in!
  • Have you been pleased with your results? I have a friend that did NROLFW all the way through and she told me I should not try to do a Beachbody program (I was doing Insanity, but was going to switch to Turbo Fire) while doing it. But, maybe she just meant on the off days? I'm being a little obsessive. I have put on so much…
  • I've upped the weight each time and quite a bit from when I was lifting without the book, but I was doing a lot of HIIT before this and stopped because I thought it would mess up the results. I guess if I'm doing it on the days I lift it wouldn't hurt right? Just not on the non-lifting days.
  • So for those of you who are further in, or have done the program before would you change anything in the first phase? I was lifting some before I started this, and I feel like I could do both A and B on the same day, or do something else on that day as well. I don't want to mess up my results by changing it, but if they've…
  • Well this is depressing since I just started and fat loss is my main goal.
  • Excited to hear everyone's progress! I've been eating more than I was, but closer to what the book suggests and that is scary for me. Today I went on a long walk since it was an off day. It feels weird not to do intense cardio.
  • I'll take whatever the scale says if I can fit into clothes again!
  • I have been reading this too, but I NEED to do something on those off days sometimes or I just feel lazy. Would you suggest just a moderate walk since you've done this before and had different results both times?
  • Awesome thank you!! I have been gaining weight like nobody's business for a little over a month now. Eating was really clean except for a few slips here and there and I was working out like an animal, but seriously packing it on. A bunch of people said I needed to eat more and lift more so I'm hopeful that this will work.
  • Good to know that you felt OK after yours. I guess maybe since I'm already used to these moves perhaps that's why. I did push myself though and those prone jackknifes were a killer!
  • Good idea. I'll try a few and see if it puts strain on the wrong place, if so, I'll do those! Thanks!
  • I start today and I'm worried about those prone jackknifes. I believe I have diastasis recti and have just started researching what workouts I should and shouldn't do until that is healed. I'm going to try them today since it is my first day, but I'm not sure what I'll do if that's one of the exercises I shouldn't do.
  • I just talked to a friend that has done the program, and she said to eat at maintenance like the book says to start. So, I guess I'll try that and see what happens.
  • I was getting confused in that thread about people saying not to eat back the exercise calories. So, if I do maintenance, should I eat the Active days calories on the days I lift? I think so...but I also think I'm overthinking it all.
  • I'm new to this program, but not new to weights. The first stage workouts are supposed to be short from what I've been reading. If you can do 50 squats with just bodyweight, then you probably do need to up your weight a good bit on those.
  • Tomorrow will be my first day! I'm not worried about the workouts themselves, just making sure I do the right ones, in the right order and at the right weight! I'm still really confused about how much weight to start with.
  • New here and vegan so I won't be able to follow the diet. I'm a little nervous because while I get plenty of protein for what I normally do, I'm going to have to really pay close attention. I'm going to use it as a guide and just sub in my non-meat protein.
  • 1200 calories is the daily minimum for a woman so I don't understand why anyone would bash someone for that. Going below 1200 is unhealthy and while I wouldn't bash anyone I would strongly suggest they try to make the 1200 because going to low can cause damage to your body. I think so much depends on what is included in…
  • Well I'm on day 7 now and I'm down 3.6 pounds so I'm not complaining!!
  • I have one and I really like it. I have a slightly older model than the newest one that's out, and it came with a USB base that just plugs into your computer. It syncs as soon as you are close to the base. I love it!
  • I've been a vegetarian for about three years now, and I admit that I hated a lot of veggies before I started. Just keep trying new foods and you'll find some you like. I'm amazed at what I eat now that I would not have even considered trying before going meatless.
  • Wow, some haters. Oh well, I think you actually asked if anyone WAS doing this...and yes, I am. Just officially started today and I am very excited. Truth be told, I've known that this was the way to go for a long time, I just wasn't committed to do it. Great job on your loss already, I'm looking forward to the weight loss…
