I'm currently doing C25K and when I log it I just log exactly the minutes I walked and at what speed, and how many minutes I ran and I what speed. I'm sure there are other ways people do it, but that's what I've been doing

Thought this article about plateaus was interesting http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/11/weight-loss-plateau_n_1004197.html

Mine are: To finish C25K To not look at the scale ONCE To workout 5-6 days a week To enjoy my weekend at the beach and not feel TOO self conscious :)
-
Doing week 4 day 1 of c25k and then.... working out again when I went over my calories for the day and... drinking 7 of my 8 glasses of water for the day, gotta go drink the last one now :)

anyone??
-
but is it possible to change it every day?

To say NEVER go below 1200 is a little dramatic. There are certain people, depending on their height and weight that would be find on a 11/1200 calorie diet. Sure, for MOST of us, LONGTERM, that is not the way to go, but certainly is not something that should be automatically rule out.

Total Daily Energy Expenditure. It's based off of your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is how many calories you burn in a day, even if you were lying in bed all day. Your TDEE includes your BMR but also varies depending on your activity levels. So your TDEE would be the calories you burn in a normal day (i.e one where you…

thanks everyone, I'll keep it all in mind and figure out what I'm going to do

I've cut out sugar, (other than fruits etc,) for 1 week now, and I'm hoping that helps, but it hasnt done much so far. I find myself wanting to save those 300 or so calories every day, but hearing this I want to less.
-
So I've been going a bit crazy lately trying to figure out my TDEE and, using online calculators, I gotten numbers ranging from 2144 to 2376, which obviously would make a difference. Not really sure how to determine what number to use??

I'm 5'9" and THIS is what I want to look like...you look FANTASTIC

I worked out for about 40 minutes this morning (elliptical and bike) and I havent drank much water at all, so that's probably what it is...
-
definitely read the article SPNluver83 (i think) posted about that
-
I COMPLETELY agree that people are way too rude these days, but just as a counterpoint, we dont all actually need 64oz of water a day. Just as 100oz works for you, about 32-40 works for me and keeps me feeling hydrated etc. Not trying to be rude or anything at all :) just putting in another opinion!

I'll definitely keep that in mind, as I really want to tone up my thighs...guess that's what some cardio is good for!
-
I'm glad to hear that, I was worried that I wouldn't see much toning, but hopefully I'll have similar results to you!
-
If I haven't gone to sleep yet, I tend to log on the previous day, regardless of if it's past midnight. However, if I go to sleep and then wake up and eat something, I tend to log on the next day. Kind of random, but that's how I do it
-
up your calories! 1200 is not enough for most people!
-
If you want to up your speed on the treadmill, try starting C25K. By summer time you'll be able to run a 5k! I've been doing it for about 4 weeks and can already run further than I thought I'd be able to!
-
Why don't you just do less strength training in the morning? I know you don't want to hurt your knee, but since you're doing more strength training than cardio at this point, I think that's what you'll need to change in order to lose some muscle. I'm clearly no expert on the matter, but that just makes sense to me

I'm 5'9", weigh 150, and wear a 4-6 (closer to the 4 but not quite a perfect fit)
-
can you ask her to keep it somewhere else? either somewhere you don't know where it is, or somewhere that's less convenient, so you cant weight yourself as easily?
-
its an amazing series! seriously, i CANT explain why its so good, its just something you need to read. NOW preferably ;) You'll see what i mean
-
that's a great NSV!!

I'm just worried that I'm going to be extremely bloated tomorrow because I've gone way over on sodium today...I dont feel thirsty, but then again I rarely do and I know my body probably needs more water than I routinely give it
-
you look AMAZING :) congratulations on this accomplishment!

I'm on week 3 and already worrying about that run to, but we can do it!!! And OP fantastic job! I'm extremely jealous and inspired. I can't wait to get to that point myself :)))
