I landscape and still find the need to go to the gym 5-6 times a week. Landscaping is a very physical job, but I need different kinds of workouts to see real results. I have a weekly workout routine (5 days/week scheduled) outside of my normal job.

How do you log insanity?
-
I just started. My gym has it 3 days a week
-
Read my next one. I said that I stopped going out to eat as well. And yes, started working out more.
-
True, I never buy soda for home. I only drink it when I'm out to eat. I stopped going out to eat as often, and stopped drinking it completely
-
I think cutting soda out completely is the best option to lose/maintain weight. I have nothing scientific to back that up, but personally lost fat and gained muscle when I stopped drinking any sort of soda.

About 9 months ago. I'm in about the same shape. Maybe a little better
-
I go to the gym at about 3 in the morning. During the winter, I plow snow so I'm on those hours. I usually eat a little something first (toast and peanut butter) then 2 eggs afterward.

If you have the app on your phone, you can scan the barcode. I've been doing that to get accurate counts.

I cut it out completely. Last time I had one, I couldn't finish it. I never used to notice how sugary they are. After drinking only water for a few months, it tasted terrible

I'm around the same height, and weigh 205. 800 is way too low. I eat between 1700 and 2000 per day and lost nearly 40 pounds in the last year. You may drop weight quickly eating 800, but it won't be healthy.
-
Thanks! I'll give that a shot
-
I'm right with ya there. And have been for a few months
-
Exactly what I do. If I'm in a hurry, I throw it on a piece of toast and eat it in the car
-
Also, please refrain from criticizing people's motivation. Everybody has their own reasons for getting in shape. This is a site to encourage each other
-
Who said it's the only reason to get in shape? I go with friends and have a good time. It's a mini-vacation.
-
I'm doing the Spartan Race. Wish I could do both but this is the closest Mudder-esque event and it's still 4 hours away
-
Same here! And I put on 10 pounds when I wasn't using it. I hope we can all stick to it this time around
-
Tobasco and Tuna. It's my post workout.

I recently quit smoking. The addiction goes away. I have absolutely no cravings for cigarettes anymore. I ate sunflower seeds constantly when I was quitting. Keeps your mouth busy and tricks your mind into thinking you're eating.

I live in Bozeman as well. From Minnesota, and don't see myself moving anytime soon
-
Yep. That's what I go by as well. A small amount of carbs before then protein within half an hour
-
After a workout, I go with a can of tuna with a splash of tobasco. I get the costco cans of tuna, which are larger than your average can. They have 180 calories and 45 grams of protein

My post workout is a can of tuna with a splash of tobasco. It's cheap and I get the costco tuna which has 45 grams of protein with 180 calories. An inexpensive, healthy go-to meal I enjoy is a baked chicken breast with steamed broccoli. The broccoli is easy, just steam it for 5ish minutes then add salt/pepper. The chicken…

I go to pandora. They have various workout stations, which I love because some days rap will pump me up, then only country will get to me the next day.

I used to eat when bored as well. I hate to say it, but I smoke half a cigarillo (never thought I'd be a smoker) or have a handful or 2 of sunflower seeds and some water when I'm craving food. I've lost 20 lbs in the past 2 months.

I'm from Woodbury but now live in Bozeman, Montana. If you like hiking, I would recommend taking a trip out to Montana. It's a great workout and you see some beautiful places.
