Well, it's like 5 months till tough mudder.
My goal is to lose some weight so I don't have to lugg so much along with me.
Trying to hit the gym 3 times a week & eat a little better.

I'm also a mudder! Can't get into my safety clothes! I have about 6 weeks to drop at least enough to get the pants on. I'm doing this all alone. I am my own support system. Not good. Hope to find a gym buddy soon!0

I'm doing the Spartan Race. Wish I could do both but this is the closest Mudder-esque event and it's still 4 hours away0

That fake military obstacle course for civilians...what a joke and is this event your only reason to "get in shape" because that course is a giant joke in regards to fitness requirements lol0

Who said it's the only reason to get in shape? I go with friends and have a good time. It's a mini-vacation.0

Also, please refrain from criticizing people's motivation. Everybody has their own reasons for getting in shape. This is a site to encourage each other0 -

I hope to do one in June on my birthday. I'm excited too. My first one. I've done a Triathlon before, but this should be way different.0 -

Setting up goals helps to keep people motivated. When I first started Jan 2013, I immediately signed up for a 10k in May. Paying for a race and setting a goal made me accountable for all that I was doing. It forced me not to quit like I had done in the past. I'm 2 years strong now because I didn't give up.0 -

No, it's not my only reason to get in shape. It's just about time it finally did it! I'm just doing mudder to go have fun. Believe me, they will be tough enough to challenge me. I did the Spartan Sprint lady year & had a blast.

I did the warrior dash and it was friken awesome. I was in pretty good shape when I did it and it definitely challenged me; A 5k uphill jog in the mountains with several different obstacles woooooooo. Best thing I ever did0
