I haven't fallen while working out, but as far as 'strategic falling', you could take a martial arts seminar on this. I took karate for several years and in the sparring sections they teach you how to fall to minimize impact, and if you practice it (on a mat or something soft at first for sure!) it may become second…

I haven't tried Vega Sport, but I like their regular line of shakes. The Vega ONE vanilla is delicious! Not sure how it compares to the Sport stuff since I never tried that... I do eat a tofu, beans, and lentils to up my protein at times when I'm getting more into working out, although I am not into bulking. Silken tofu +…

the Happy Herbivore (http://happyherbivore.com/) has a bunch of tasty free recipes online. Most meat eaters like most everything of hers as it tends to be spiced/flavored like typical American food (well, I haven't tried her "Happy Herbivore Abroad" recipes for world cuisine, but the rest are really yummy and easy!) in…

here are some good reasons.... http://nutritionfacts.org/video/uprooting-the-leading-causes-of-death/ you know, reducing your risk of dying of the things most people in our meat eating society die of...! if it's normal to drop dead of a heart attack, then maybe you should be rethinking 'normal'...

funny i'm seeing this thread right now! i'd been thinking about doing IF for health for a while (increased lifespan, protective against dementia and brain illnesses, etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermittent_fasting) and just did my first 26 hour fast yesterday. I plan to fast 1 - 2 days per week for 24+ hours each…

Also, a summary (with links in the actual text to peer-reviewed study summaries) on cooking methods: "In general, microwaving is the healthiest cooking method. However, for individual vegetables, optimal cooking methods vary. The benefits of raw broccoli can be replicated by pre-chopping and letting it stand before…

Sit down with him for movie night with "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" or "Forks Over Knives". Start a conversation with him about the movie in a friendly way. "Forks Over Knives" is free on Hulu right now too. http://www.hulu.com/watch/279734

Thanks! And whoa, I did not know there were online ones...that sounds sketchy...You'd just send your blood to some random site??

http://myvega.com/products/vega-one-shake/features-benefits Although I agree, that you can just eat real food too instead of a shake.
-
Vega protein powder is good. No common allergens, and lots of vitamins & minerals in with the protein.

Has anyone has this "food intolerance" blood test done? Is it wide ranging, or do you have to get ones done for individual foods? Did it help you?

"No matter how slow you go, you're lapping everybody on the couch"...and then I tell myself that I'm "trying my best to be the best" and that working out is my way of telling my body that it is wanted - wanted to carry me healthfully through the rest of my life - so I'd better invest my efforts into making it the best,…

3300 calories worth of activity??? how can that be the goal across the board??? I can run for an hour and a half and it's less than 650 cals! that calorie goal is arbitrary and unrealistic for many people.

I too love both the Shirataki (tofu + yam; 20 cals per serving) noodles and the "Miracle" (yam only, no calories per serving, as it's all soluble fiber) noodles! I was really skeptical at the start, and when you open the package, you should know it's going to smell weird and fishy - I just rinse mine thoroughly in the…

I've heard a tsp of natural apple cider vinegar (the one with the mother in it, like Bragg's) is supposed to help with this. but i have no idea. never tried it!

Graduate school. Or find some friends that are in a biology or social sciences program somewhere and party with them. BAM. Tons of women in that age range are getting higher ed degrees.

I tried Kaeng Raeng and liked it. It really helped get rid of cravings for salt and oil for me. I liked it too because you can still eat raw veggies and fruits with the whole/organic/fruit-based shakes. i'm going to do another cleanse with them in a couple months. https://www.kaengraeng.com/

Vega is awesome! myvega.com I love the Vanilla Chai flavor. It's totally vegan, made of whole foods, and provides really good nutrition for low calories (it can be used as a meal replacer too).

Vega! Delicious, whole foods, totally vegan (not that you need to be vegan to love it), no allergens, high in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients - enough to be a full meal replacement! And the vanilla chai flavor is delicious!
