I'm doing the same - could use some support. I just realized i gained 10 lbs since Feb, that's losing ten of the 15 i lost last year. Pretty discouraged. Pls add me if you're a regular here - could use some accountability too.

So for those of you who are eating at about 1800 calories - does everyone on here lift? Or does it work if you don't lift as well?

I work out 3x a week also. So - on my workout days i would eat at TDEE x 1.35 then? Or everyday including the days i dont work out? I was told not to eat my exercise calories by my nutritionist cuz it defeats the purpose of working out.... but seems like there are two big schools of thought on this.

I'm using the IF calculator (http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc). It says my TDEE is 1618 but that doesn't factor in exercise calories on a day that i might be working out. I had it set to sedentary cuz i have a desk job.

That's great advice. Give it 2 months not 2 weeks. I am so impatient and often quit because i think i've failed when i haven't even tried hard enough. Makes total sense. Talked to my nutritionist on Monday and he said the same thing - not to eat back my exercise calories.

Thanks! I had been working out like 3-4 times a week (cardio about 650 calories each time) and was doing that about a year... took a three week break around Christmas time and started back up about mid January - i started MFP Valentine's day. So i didn't start exactly the same time i started counting calories.

Thanks for sharing. I have tried before using South Beach and it actually worked and i lost about 15lbs but after that even Phase One again didn't work anymore for me. I actually drink a lot more than i report. I think i usually do about 16-18 cups a day.
