i run in shorts until it gets a WINDY 32 or less...my tops are layered for easy removal...i keep eye wear on so that my eyes don't water...basically it all ends up coming off...these are for RUNS that are longer than the 30 minutes i like the arm bands b/c i can take them off easier while i am running :)

mine had done this three times this year...and that is exactly what happens...its actually going thru that process right now...the new one is growing under and pushing the old black nail up...it will come off...(it was firmly attached at the start of this process)...since i have been long distancing again it is a common…

i ran the color run two weekends ago in Cincinnati Ohio and it was fun...although it wasn't a timed race and didn't feel like a 5K run...meaning, the mileage was not that of a true 5K. That having been said I ran it with a group of family so it was OK and we got a lot of fun photos along with a fun after party :)

To know you are one with what you are doing, to know that you are a complete athlete, begins with believing you are a runner. -- George Sheehan you ARE a runner

yes...happens to me...but to friends that know me...new people i meet think i look great so i have to remember that my friends have seen a drastic change and these others never saw me when i weighted more...heck, i even lost a friend over it. She refused to train for this upcoming marathon with me anymore b/c she said i…

so when you used the duct tape did you put it directly on your foot ....like wrapping it up (mummy style)? and that having been asked ...were your blisters gone? reason i ask is b/c mine are totally gone and i have brand new open skin now...so idk if that would still be a good idea. also, when you did it...when it came…

my first question would be...why are you wanting to go to this extreme? are you in training right now? if so, then finding alternate option would be questionable only as training is hard enough without the added stress of such an extreme dietary change. i too am vegetarian and know how hard it is to get my daily protein in…

i have been a lactation consultant for over ten years and YES you need to INCREASE those calories...and increase your PROTEIN> that having been said how long have you been breastfeeding? is this the only food supply your baby is receiving? how often are you feeding? knowing more information will help me to know what other…

Ever seen marathoner come out of some injury time? They can get fat just like anyone else. [/quote] unless your from KENYA, hahahahaha

i am currently in training for a full...so i have learned thru trial and error that my carb intake is contingent on my mileage ....now, i dont know if others will agree but for ME i have been doing "bolus" carbs AFTER my longer runs (15-18milers) ...so within the hour after i run those longer runs i will load up and be…

thanks for this info...my other issue is after the nail falls off and the regrowth appears but it doesnt even make it to the top of the skin (barely) before it becomes ingrown and PAIN sets in...when that happens it starts the cycle over again and a new nail grows under and the top one pops off....but the top nail never…

no toenail fungus...i eat a ton of dairy so idt i lack in the calcium department...i do know that when my nails pop off and the new ones grow in that they dont even make it a few mila inches (is that even a word!?) and they get ingrown on the sides and hence the cycle starts once again. i am hopin new shoes will help. just…

i was fitted in may for new digs and upped my shoe size an entire one...saucony was the recommendation so i went with those and seemed to work great...i am guessin i need a new pair at this point..

how about mizuno? have u ever run in those?
-
sounds to me like your body is trying to tell you that you need more calories. every body needs a different amount...try upping your intake on a daily basis a couple hundred and see if that works...alot of times that is all it takes and it will also give you the motivation to move forward with your goals.
-
thanks for the info...and yes they turn black prior to poppin off, lol when they grow back they dont even make it to any real "length" before a "new nail" grows and makes the older one pop back off...but its only started happening since increase in running so yeah....guessing i do need to see a doc, ugh

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE AWESOME RESPONSES!! and yes, i wear "grade a " socks (no COTTON) and its weird with regard to the fact that as soon as they fell off the first time they started growing back and didnt even make it past the end of my TOE when it started happening again...i am guessing what others have stated that its…

you are right too...they were a huge motivation for me when i was training for the half ... its "different" when training for the full...i am with a bunch of hardcore runners who are training for the full...its not like the "bucket list" of housewives that i was training the half with ....so i guess i am taken aback and…
