  • I felt hungry under on the 1200 calorie plan for the first couple of weeks but then it becomes the new normal. I practice a trick that I did when I quick smoking. If you have a craving for food just think to yourself - I will wait 5 minutes and then have something - the craving will usually go away. Best of luck
  • MFP is the way to do it - its been great for me and even though Easter weekend meant more food than normal, I'm back on track today! Good luck with your journey.
  • It's a really cold winter in Toronto and I crave large portions of comfort food like stews and mac and cheese. Instead I make large batches of healthy versions, eat a small serving and freeze the rest for other meals. Once it's sealed and in the freezer it's safe - but until then it's a challenge not to indulge.
  • I am almost through a month using Vanilla Shakeology and I have found that it does satisfy my hunger. I add in a small banana or other fruit and mix with either almond milk or greek yogurt to get me to 350-400 calories for my breakfast. I don't see using the product forever, but if it works for some people - I don't think…

  • I am 52 - was doing so well getting fit and losing weight last year until a health issue set me back. I am on track again nd find that support like these communities is very helpful to keep motivated. Best of luck.
  • I lost 180 lbs 4 years ago when I divorced by 180 lb husband - he was always on me about my weight. While I'm not yet at my goal weight somehow I feel so much lighter :)
  • Dried fruits, in small portions, namely figs, prunes and dates. Actually, I've read that dates are as close as it gets to being the perfect food - lots of nutrients, fibre, and one or two medjool dates are sweet enough to provide me with a sugar fix instead of reaching for candy.
  • I was on MFP last year and made excellent progress then a health condition set me back. I am now back on track now and find the MFP tool very helpful. It's so convenient to log food and exercise on my phone and I like that I can easily track the balance of carbs, fat and protein. I'm convinced the only way to lose weight…
