  • Thanks everyone for your help :)
  • Thanks everyone for your comments. Did my first session today, seems quite simple and didn't take too long so I like that. Before I started tho a PT came up to me and said it's not a good program for body recomposition. He recommended doing a program with more reps less weight increases. Said I'd get more toned that way.…
  • I'm interested in these zero cal sauces, what are they exactly and where do you buy them? I like the fage yoghurts too, at the moment I eat with a banana to make it more enjoyable but would rather something that wasn't carbs and sugar. Thanks!
  • This book looks really interesting, couple of questions... 1) I don't have a pull up bar, is this a problem or can I use something else/skip these exercises? 2) is it any good on a kindle? Thanks!
  • Exact same request but suggestions if you don't have a gym membership or your own weights?
  • What does NSV stand for?
  • Erm that's depressing. Please can some people who have lost weight and successfully kept it off please reassure me!
  • 0% fat Greek yoghurt! I'm obsessed!
  • Insanity
  • Is that diary entry genuine? How did you find the time to eat that all in one day?! Impressive!
  • Congrats for starting! I completed Insanity in autumn last year and now going through it again, I'm currently half way through week 2. I would just say don't expect results from the start. I think that might cause a lot of people to quit because they don't instantly lose weight. For most people you won't see much after…
  • In Central London I was paying £35 but I trialled some that were up to £60
  • I noticed I starting breaking out really bad when I started insanity. I also started eating new foods. Couldn't figure out what was causing it then thought the main thing I had introduced was peanut butter. Read up on it and turns out a lot of of other people have found it causes acne. Stopped eating it and instantly skin…
  • How are people getting on? I'm still going strong!
  • A week in, how is everyone doing? I'm not finding it too hard so far, think it's only going to get more difficult though!
  • "To the negative people" what a hypocrite. Your first response has been to insult people on the way they look on this website?! You don't belong on here if you are going to make such low blows to individual bloggers who are on here trying to get healthier. Most people on here start overweight so who are you to say we can't…
  • I only did the first 3 once each just to have a go and burned about 60 calories in one and two and only 30 calories in three! It's such a load of rubbish, I might do the others at some point but to me they are very pointless. I'm a healthy weight and have good fitness levels so my burn will be less than someone starting…
  • Just did workouts 1 and 2. Burned about 65 calories in each. Still struggling to see how people would lose weight on this program. All you'd have to do is eat one less apple a day and you'd be in the same position (calorie wise ignoring benefits of strength training and after burn which I doubt can be much given how little…
  • For level 1 burn about 150, level 2 170, haven't recorded level 3 yet. I'm a healthy weight and have done insanity so my fitness levels are pretty good so if you are heavier or a beginner you will def burn more
  • Thanks for all your suggestions! Got plenty to work through so will hopefully find some yummy alternatives.
  • I posted this which you might find answers your question... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1157992-which-polar-heart-rate-monitor-to-buy In the end I went for the FT7 and it arrived today so excited to go home and use it for Insanity!
  • Echo everything said here. If you eat right don't know how you can't lose weight. I'd tried so many things and because I am already a healthy weight and only wanted to lose a relatively small amount thought it just wasn't going to happen but insanity worked. In month 2 dropped 9lbs in 4 weeks! That's VERY fast for me.…
  • It looks like the workouts are quite tough but only 10 minutes a day?! How can that compare to insanity which is at least 45 minutes a day?! My only thought is that you would have to restrict your calories a lot more. Would love to hear from people actually doing it!
  • When are you supposed to calculate your resting heart rate? Just did mine and it was 87 which sounds way too high based on this thread. I'm 24, 140lbs and 5'8" also have recently finished insanity so would say I'm relatively fit. Have I measured it wrong?!
  • I have oatmeal with almond milk for breakfast most days and I don't add anything. I don't find it bland at all and actually look forward to it! You just need to allow for your palette to adapt, won't take more than a few days and you'll find it sweet enough. You may even find the honey etc you used to add tastes way too…
  • I disagree with these 2 replies, I think they are being a bit over dramatic jumping straight to therapy lol. I'm in the same boat, ate too much over Christmas (in fact pretty much all of December!) I'm very close to goal weight and am in the healthy range but also worried of gaining too much back. I have gained weight but…
  • Hey, I would definitely recommend insanity but you have to commit to it. It's not easy and I had to be quite anti-social for 2 months to do the workouts every day and follow the nutrition guide. However it's definitely worth it! The only thing that's really worked for me in terms of fat loss. It's 6 days of workouts then a…
  • That's exactly the combination I did when I started working out. Found 30 day shred was good to get me in the mind set to go out and run, also in the winter it was much easier going out the front door to run as I was already hot from the DVD. 30 day shred isn't amazing for fat loss but found it a really good way to…
  • I have the same problem with peanut butter which is making me sad cos I love it so much! Have people found almond butter also causes acne or is it okay? Trying to find a substitute.
