I try to stay fairly close to home for most of my runs . But for those "special" trails I'll drive 40 mins to get to them.

Welcome Mandy!! Sounds like to you are taking steps to achieving your weight loss goals. I find tracking my food and exercises really helps keep me on track. These are some great tools here on MFP. Also - adding friends and being active on commenting helps keep me motivated as well :)

And about the toes - go up half a size just like the leadoff said. I lost my big toe from having shoes that were too small. Your feet can swell a full size when you run.

Running on concrete is hard on your body! I don't know what the roads and side walks are made of where you live but in Vancouver, BC., the roads are made of asphalt and this is a lot on your body. So if this is the same where you live, try running on the road and not the side walk. Do you have trails near by? Mix in trail…

I wash only workout clothes together on gentle and hang them all to dry. Only my socks go in with the regular clothes.

The first time I did a long run (16k) and my next several long runs after I was so sick afterwards. It hit about 45 mins after my run ended and it hit hard!!! My stomach filled with air, I felt like I was going to throw up and the cramping started. It turns out that there was too much acid in my body. I worked too hard and…

Lots of great tips here! I sugggest: 1. Eat Nutrient Dense Food and log it. 2. Get Moving! 3. Have Accountability Partners. They will help keep you focused and on track! Remember that everyone has good days and bad days but if you have more good than bad you'll start seeing results :)

Good for you!! I hope you are proud of your accomplishment!

I am new as well! Good for you for coming out of hiding :) What health and fitness goals do you have set?

I'm not a huge fan of eating it on its' own. I usually by the dry curd version and will either make "pancakes" from it or make a super healthy version of a cheesecake. If you want details on how to make them I'll post this info. Thanks!

I mix 3/4 cup of greek yogurt with a pack of stevia to sweeten it without adding extra calories. I also throw in some chocolate chips, sliced almonds about a teaspoon of cinnamon and sometimes 1 sliced strawberry. It takes like dessert!!!
