Holy macaroni, you've gone totally hunk, Bronx_montgomery!

You inspire me! Your posts make me smile! ..and my "invisible" MFP friend, I really really need that. So know this: Your posts, your progress and your determination and not least your humour make a Great difference to me!

I love my Nike Lunar glides too, but would really suggest (esp. with the distances you are running and plan to run) that you visit either ProRunners or something similar where they assess your running style, pronation etc. I'm going to my local ProRunner shop on Saturday for exactly that - but have an injury behind me and…

Mr FinalThird - I salute you!! You're such a star to write a long, funny and inspiring post for a fellow MFP'er. They should make more guys like you - they really should :)

They're obviously complete *kitten* (sorry!). Do keep walking and running. Then let's see who laughing when you eventually run circles around them. Jerks - the lot of them, jerks!

Sadly, nothing so far. In a miserable mood, have cold, etc. etc. Will kick some butt later and collect some proud points though.

It looks like there is huuuge difference. For starters your face looks much much slimmer and not "bloated" as in the first pic. Generally, the 2nd pic is of a much healthier looking you. But either way, 27 lbs is a massive loss - well done! Good luck with the next steps :) Keep up the clearly excellent work!

DEFINITELY go you!! I'd have been headfirst in the chocolate too (and more or less actually did so at last year's returns, when my bank paid my tax in error TWICE. Hours of calls, kilos of chocolate and a great deal of stress later, they admitted it was their fault and did a "temporary transfer" till they could fix their…

I adore your posts - I really truly do. Thank You! For posting it! And pls write (lots) more!!

That's brilliant!! Very impressed too. I ran 5K last week (34 mins - so not overly fast, but I RAN FOR 34 mins!) and the exhilaration is fantastic. Plan to run another 5K tomorrow - and shave minutes off as we go.
-
Could be worse... You could've been singing this bit: Hot night, wind was blowin' Where you think you're going, baby? :)
-
Brilliant!!! I ran my first 5K on Wednesday, so I can only imagine how 3 sets of boy pushup feel. But I imagine "bloody amazing"!!
-
WHOOOOOOOOOOOP! I'm nearing that magical number too - and it's a big deal! A brilliant NSV. Congrats!
-
Scott, you rock!!! You work like a Trojan (getting up @ 3 AM - been there, done that and it can almost only be done on bad calories. MY brain and body, for instance, seem to think cals don't count if eaten at extreme fatigue, stress or super early starts. Having had a particularly sh*tty year where I lost my beloved…

You have done an amazing job. Such fabulous determination and willpower - and just look at those results. A whole new and much happier looking (not forgetting healthier) person. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!

No need to enter me into the Giveaway (Fabulous, fabulous idea!!) as I live in the UK and the DVD wouldn't play here anyways, but what an amazing transformation. I have absolutely NO idea how you fitted it all in. I work full time (and then some) and am a mother of a 4 year old (not of 4 kids - just one, aged 4) and once…

Scott, you totally rock!! Here's to getting rid of Old Reliable in due course. Thanks for an entertaining, enlightening and fantastic post. (Don't forget the calories burned by typing all of it ;))

NSV - Non Scale Victory :)
-
No, BIG victory (nothing small about 8 lbs!) - well done!!!
-
You look absolutely amazing!! Well done!
-
You are awesome!! well done!! Running 5K at 300 pounds is a lot harder than running 5K at 150-200 lbs - you're basically hauling more weight around on your feet. I have huge amounts of respect for you and just know that your next 5K'er will be faster, easier and even more awesome.

Thanks, guys! I'm going to make a big batch of veggie-lentil dhal or balti tomorrow. And I love the black bean "salad" idea too!
-
THANK YOU!!! Best post in a long time on the Message Boards :)
-
Yeah, dhal! Will do a whole Indian themed (vegetarian) dinner tonight - balti and dhal :)

Ice it and rest it! Then instead of running tomorrow, take a ( long) walk and see how it feels. If it's starts getting sore, stop! (Speaking from experience and getting a nasty heel spur back in January because I did the opposite of the above and just kept running...) All fine now, but put me back 2 months. Good luck - and…

Just a quick note: This thread made me go straight out and finally do it: Join my local gym. I was trying to achieve my goals with hours and hours of walking my dog (she now hides when she hears the lead being taken off the hook - lol) and running and cycling, but it never really got to be "enough". SO I went, had the…
