You have such an incredible story - one of the best I've read on here. You have a talent for writing and are beautiful inside and out! You've come so far and you're still working so hard!! Congratulations on all that you've accomplished! You're wonderful!

I was looking at your diary and I think aiming to balance out your macronutrients (proteins, carbs, and fats) could help you. I noticed you were going over your fat allotment quite a bit (one of your biggest calorie expenditures was coconut manna) and not fulfilling your protein or your carbohydrates. Broccoli for instance…

New PR for my mile and 2 miles, AND I got fitted for a bridesmaids dress and the lady told me I had a tiny waist! It was a nice moment.

I've been using a mashed avocado in tuna salad instead of mayonnaise. It's tasty and better for you!

People I went to school with don't recognize me.

OMG WHAT. That baked pickle recipe sounds DYNAMITE.

Bump. 'Cause soup season is coming.

I'm 5'2" and started at 180 lbs. My original goal weight was 120, but once I met that I decided to see what 115 looks like because I still had a belly. I gained some back and did 30DS and feel better/look better than I ever have. I mostly chose my goal weight for completely arbitrary reasons: 120 was somewhere near the…

I swear by it. I usually eat it for breakfast because it's fast and I can change the "flavor" according to my mood. If I want something savory I stir in either chives, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or some combination of those and if I want something sweet I'll add some sort of fruit - a dab of jam stirred in,…

This can definitely be tough when you're faced with constant and easy temptation, but if you think about, we're surrounded by temptations all the time. I brought my lunch and drank only water or plain tea and coffee. :) You can do it!!

More or less just bumping this because my boyfriend has had this for a few weeks now. Any tips or ideas if your job involves a lot of weight bearing? He works at a hardware store - loading, pushing huge amounts of carts, etc.

BUMP - so I remember to check this out later! :D

I'm going to tell you from experience that as a short woman it will be hard to lose 10 lbs in a month. Eating the bare minimum of calories (1200) only guarantees a loss of one pound a week for me and I'm 5'2". We simply burn less calories because there's less there to move. I'm not saying your goal is impossible, just not…

I swear by baby carrots. They aren't the most exciting snack, but they're great to "keep your mouth busy" and low calorie. They take awhile to eat too.
-
I'm the same height as you so our requirements are similar! You can totally add me :)

Your diary is locked so I can't tell what you're using already, but I really love Optimum Nutrition's Chocolate Shake flavor. It's pretty awesome all on its own.

I quit counting when I reached my goal weight and 4 months later I had almost gained 20 lbs back (granted, this was over the holidays too, and I had foolishly told myself that it was okay). I hope some day I'll be able to because I don't want to need something to tell me how to eat, but I haven't been able to yet.

I'm 5'2" so our daily calories are probably about the same. To lose 1 lb a week, I eat 1200 calories a day anyway, and on the days I run I definitely eat my most if not all of the calories I burn. I just use the MFP calculator by logging my time and speed, and eat that. If you want to look at my diary, you're more than…

My friend's boyfriend can do that. I'm getting better... though not always. I have to put the other half/portion away ahead of time, as in mentally process the fact that I will NOT eat the whole thing and that this part is for now and the other part is for later or never if I can foist it off on a friend, coworker, or…

I would assume yes. I'm not a nutritionist, but I did work in a cafe and wet cappuccino takes almost twice the milk as a regular, though I guess that depends on how wet you like it. Still, if it's skim milk it shouldn't be too bad. If you want to figure out how close it would be, take the ounces of the drink, subtract 1.5…

I'm no expert, but I would suspect that since the sizes you are going by are odd numbers that it would be 17 15 13 11 and I would call that losing three sizes.

Starscape in June! And hopefully Loaded Festival in May.

Pizza CAN be just fine. It's comprised of all the things that would make an ordinary meal healthy, it just gets bad press because there are fast food pizza places that make it really greasy or butter the crust and all kinds of things. There's a mom-and-pop type of place down the street from my apartment that makes the BEST…

I just posted this on Facebook the other day and tagged some friends so I'm 99% sure I'll be there. Just waiting to clear it through my weekend job and I'll register! :) So excited!

-Running a 5k -Having a friend I always considered lovely and thin tell me I looked "so skinny" -Going out to buy some shorts for work, grabbing a size 6 and being worried they wouldn't fit, only to realize I needed a size 4 -Being more flexible -Finding the courage to do what I thought was hopeless and impossible
-
 Thank you  First 5k today in 29:41 and I still feel I could do better. This is what I needed today.

I sometimes feel that working out with sore muscles helps work out the soreness. I usually take it slower in the beginning though, because then if it turns into a genuine hurt you can stop.
-
This! I eat cups and cups of broccoli steamed. So good.
-
Awesome! Thank you!

I'm dealing with this same problem and all of the exercises mentioned will help tone the muscles under the "wobbly" parts, but the only way to burn off fat is through cardio. Any way you can add more cardio would be helpful. I've been training for a 5k and endurance running has been great for slimming my legs.
