Bargain shopping yesterday I found that I have moved:
From a solid 3X shirt size to between 1X and 2X (depending on size)
From a 24/26 in pants to a 20
It is rather unfair that now that I am in a smaller size my economical practical side says... don't shop until you absolutely NEED to, like 2-3 sizes from here!4 -
I'm one size down already!! I feel more motivated when I look in a full length mirror then when I get on the scale!!5

Did the round kicks in heavy bag class on Thursday and survived my first ever yoga class afterward.
Didn't suffer manic sciatica afterward!!!
And lifted last night, pushed the weights up a bit and stretched afterward. Again, no sciatica.
This makes me SO happy!6 -
sitting on the sofa at home and realizing I can tuck my knees up toward my chest and feet flat on the sofa seat, and sit comfortably. That is the sort of position that my thinner friends would sit in when we were teens and I just could not, I was too big. Kind of cool to be able to do that at 37, finally.10

Bought a size XL dress today! Haven't done that in about 10 years.4

I am 10 days cigarette free after 33 years of smoking!! :happy:25

in 2011 I went up a mountain that's consistently steep to the point that the 40 min hike gave me strong lower back pain, as well as left me very short of breath and aching at the muscles. I stayed clear of that mountain up until last autumn, and have since done it twice in the past month and a half or so. The last time I did it, a week or so ago, I felt like I'd done nothing of the sort the day after. I'd have been almost incapacitated for days before I started working out last summer5

Incredible! Congrats! Keep going!2 -
Mine was this morning, while helping my nephew move into his new place. My brother in law looked at me and said "well, how much skinnier are you going to get?"
(in reality I have about 30-40 more pounds to lose)5 -
Cutting my run time down by like two or three minutes per mile.3

Bought a dress yesterday at Disney World, size extra small, fits perfectly!!
Seeing more muscle definition in my legs today!! :bigsmile:6 -

Just realized today that my shortest runs average 2 miles. I couldn't even run a full mile 3 months ago!6

New PR for my mile and 2 miles, AND I got fitted for a bridesmaids dress and the lady told me I had a tiny waist! It was a nice moment.6

I've only been at this for a week and a half, but this is a BIG NSV for me - I haven't had a single headache since I started (or at least very shortly after I started). I've had headaches for probably 90% of my life since I was in HS, just about every single day so I'm feeling really great and if nothing else, this alone should give me the motivation I need to keep on going!12

guy I'm seeing, as I walk by him in a t shirt and undies (ooh scandalous): "you have such a cute butt".
I used to be 262 lbs.14 -
I had kind of an interesting one (well, to me.) It's been very hot and I couldn't sleep, so I kind of said **** it and decided to finish like half a tub of ice cream as a midnight snack...and didn't. I ate a bit, enjoyed it, and then just had enough and put it away. I had the whole thing tracked, it fit in my calories and everything, but I didn't eat it anyway. (I would have effortlessly eaten it all a few months ago.)
I found that really, really encouraging - that I could be satisfied with moderation and it was neither in the midst of a super-motivated, yes-we-can, weight-loss-determination high, NOR this massive act of ascetic self-depriving discipline. It makes it seem genuinely possible that I could have a healthy relationship with food some day, without having to either track every single bite I eat for the rest of my life or immediately gaining weight straight back to unhealthy obesity, (with all love and respect to MFP, of course.)11 -
Actually thought i look half in shape these days was waiting in line at the store and a guy tried to recruit me to do security work cause "My type of body build tends to intimidate" I was like uhhhh....what? Guess all those days heavy lifting have done some good.6
