What's Your Most Recent NSV

Did the round kicks in heavy bag class on Thursday and survived my first ever yoga class afterward.
Didn't suffer manic sciatica afterward!!!
And lifted last night, pushed the weights up a bit and stretched afterward. Again, no sciatica.
This makes me SO happy!

in 2011 I went up a mountain that's consistently steep to the point that the 40 min hike gave me strong lower back pain, as well as left me very short of breath and aching at the muscles. I stayed clear of that mountain up until last autumn, and have since done it twice in the past month and a half or so. The last time I did it, a week or so ago, I felt like I'd done nothing of the sort the day after. I'd have been almost incapacitated for days before I started working out last summer

Mine was this morning, while helping my nephew move into his new place. My brother in law looked at me and said "well, how much skinnier are you going to get?"
(in reality I have about 30-40 more pounds to lose)

Just realized today that my shortest runs average 2 miles. I couldn't even run a full mile 3 months ago!

New PR for my mile and 2 miles, AND I got fitted for a bridesmaids dress and the lady told me I had a tiny waist! It was a nice moment.

I've only been at this for a week and a half, but this is a BIG NSV for me - I haven't had a single headache since I started (or at least very shortly after I started). I've had headaches for probably 90% of my life since I was in HS, just about every single day so I'm feeling really great and if nothing else, this alone should give me the motivation I need to keep on going!

I had kind of an interesting one (well, to me.) It's been very hot and I couldn't sleep, so I kind of said **** it and decided to finish like half a tub of ice cream as a midnight snack...and didn't. I ate a bit, enjoyed it, and then just had enough and put it away. I had the whole thing tracked, it fit in my calories and everything, but I didn't eat it anyway. (I would have effortlessly eaten it all a few months ago.)

I found that really, really encouraging - that I could be satisfied with moderation and it was neither in the midst of a super-motivated, yes-we-can, weight-loss-determination high, NOR this massive act of ascetic self-depriving discipline. It makes it seem genuinely possible that I could have a healthy relationship with food some day, without having to either track every single bite I eat for the rest of my life or immediately gaining weight straight back to unhealthy obesity, (with all love and respect to MFP, of course.)
