I sit down on my husband's lap and he said "Ouch, you have a boney butt!". A lot less fat there cushioning things!
I also added another quarter mile to my run this week and am steadily getting faster.6 -
I went to the gym after work and on the way to the work out area from the change rooms, there's a bunch of mirrors at the gym I go to. So anyways, I was checking myself out . . . like I always do, and so does everyone else lol . . . and I notice that my little roll that usually hangs out the top of my sports bra in the back is no longer there!!! My bra and my work out top were completely flat against my skin and I didn't have anything hanging out over top of my bra behind my arm . . . .
I don't know if anyone knows what I am talking about . . . . but I do, and I am on cloud 9 about it right now
Oh, yes, I know exactly what you are talking about! I check that part of my body out often , waiting for that little roll to go away!3 -
My hip pain is gone, and I can lift my left leg into the car now without having to lift my leg up with my hands! And last night, I went to the gym for the first time in like 5 weeks and did the elliptical for 25 minutes. And my "fat" jeans are getting looser.6

Everyone's doing so well!
I love this thread. Little victories are so uplifting.5 -
I've had several as well:
1) All my co-workers have noticed my weight loss. I've received several compliments!
2) My collar bone has never looked so good! LOl
3) I no longer XL or XXL tops and I'm now in 14/16 jeans and 12 in tops/dresses - down from a size 20 pants at my biggest.
4) For years I have only been shopping at Lane Bryant. Their clothes are now too big!!
5) My wardrobe, especially for work, has shrunk quite a bit. I'm down to only 5 pair of pants for work and all require use of a belt - a belt that I had to add another hole to!!
6) I actually like wearing dresses now.
7) Just being able to type this feels amazing!! 40 lbs to go!
And congrats to everyone!!8 -
Went to get new pants, and fit in size 4 jeans! I've been altering stuff down (started at 14)... had no idea!5

In September of 2010 my blood pressure was 180/120. It has steadily gone down and a few days ago, it was 119/61.5

Other recent NSVs:
- Being able to get clothes from regular stores rather than big & tall stores. When I first started my weight loss journey, I started out as a size 58 in pants and I am now down to 50. I also recently got some athletic shorts in size XL. I haven't been able to get shorts or sweatpants in XL in years.
- Back in May, my wife and I took part in a one-mile fun run as part of a charity fundraiser. Last year, I walked the entire mile but this year I was able to run almost half of the run.
- Recently I have been getting some positive feedback from friends, family and co-workers. It feels really good to have other people notice the weight loss (about 70 pounds, I started at 398 and I am down to 327).
- Earlier this month while on vacation, I was able to do a lot of hiking, walking and was able to even able to run a little bit.8 -
I went shopping and didn't have to buy anything from the "big lady" sections.9
-
25 plank to pushups in a row without stopping!!! whoot whoot!!7
-
My quads split my yoga pants ????8
-
I ran my first 5k last night and was second place with a 32:41 time!
I wore a pair of size 12 ann taylor pants which I've had for 3 years and never took the tags off because they never fit well enough!3 -
I did a 5K over the weekend, and they just posted results. I power walked it with a friend of mine, and i came in 17th out of 23 in my age group! I WASN'T LAST IN MY AGE GROUP! I was the last time I did this race! It feels great! I am doing a 4 mile run/walk on the 4th of July, we will see how that one goes!7
-
This morning after my shower I noticed I could actually see my c-section scar because all of a sudden my pooch is mostly gone.
Also I'm sitting next to a box of tagalongs (girl scout cookies) that my daughter is eating and haven't eaten ANY.6 -
I need to buy all new work pants. I'm broke though6

Had a couple recently! I've been losing inches more than pounds and ive noticed it, but last week was the first time my boyfriend stopped and said "you know, ive really been noticing how your body has changed since youve taken up running. you look great and im proud of you." That was pretty awesome.
Also today I ran 3.5 miles, my longest run yet!11 -
My latest was at Larry's Giant Subs yesterday actually, I was standing at the counter chatting with some of the staff and a lady walked in, she kept staring at me with a kinda inquisitive look on her face but did not say anything for a while until she finally asked if she knew me from somewhere. I told her that i came in every day when she worked at mr sandwich and my name, she actually said she knew a jeff but he was a big fat guy, i chuckled and just waved saying that was me. The big fat guy might of hurt if it wasnt so true, made my day someone wasnt even able to recognize me anymore.10
-
No longer have to shop in the plus sizes. Also, I've had a couple of people I know well do a double take because they didn't recognize me.4
-
A woman at the barn told me "your arms look so much thinner" I almost kissed her. I hate my arms - sure, I have tummy rolls and celulite thighs, but my arms are always out for everyone to see, sometimes I hold them straight up and feel like they are bigger than my head - and it really, really bothers me! I know they are still big and I don't see a change in them... but the fact that someone else noticed (hell, even if she was lying) made me feel awesome - like - this was really working - major motivation!5
-
Ah I have had a week of little NSVs that have me buzzing like a buzzy thing
1. Went 'shopping' in my wardrobe last night - SO many clothes fit me now (and so much went to the charity shop)
2. Wore a 'new' dress to work and literally everyone has said how good it looks
3. For the first time ever had the motivation to get out of bed this morning and lift before my day started - I am still tripping off that one
4. I'm back in my rubber! One of the biggest motivators to do this in the first place. It doesn't look as good as it should but it fits and it stays zipped and I feel awesome.
I just feel awesome all the time. That's the biggest one7 -
Size 38 pants officially need belts, was wearing size 44 without a belt 6 months ago.3
-
Today I got my wedding ring off without even twisting it at all. Back in April I could barely get it off with lotion and tons of twisting. It made me so happy!
Not my wedding ring, but put on my room mate's ring which is a 7 and it fit perfectly....I was wearing a 9 :happy:4 -

OMGosh! I have never heard anyone say this, but YES! I remember those days too! Congrats, that is a total victory too often overlooked.2 -
Yesterday, I went for a run in the park. Wearing running tights. In public. And when I ran past a couple of giggling teenagers, I didn't automatically assume they were laughing at me!7
-
#1 Went to a store to buy some new jeans because mine were falling off of me... I went from a size 16/18 and having to shop in the big girl section, to a size 14 from the regular section!!! And the fit comfortably, with no muffin top!!!
#2 Went to a local goodwill for some more jeans and ended up buying a size 12 that fit me great!3 -
This morning I realized I had to use the next notch to tighten my belt more!5
-
I completed Week 1 of T25 just as it's prescribed on the workout plan. I even doubled up this morning for Day 5. While I've done all of the workouts before, I've mixed them in with other workouts and lots of days off.4
-
I have a couple of things too, just in the past two days:
1. Just bought a new pair of shorts - took me three tries to find the right size - I'm a 6 now!! The saleslady said she was
wondering why I took a size 10 and 8 into the fitting room as I'm "so petite" LOL!!
2. Yesterday at the grocery store, a random gentleman told me I have a beautiful smile, gorgeous eyes and that "actually, the
entire package is lovely". Sounds creepy but it really wasn't. I refuse to admit I followed him around the store after that.
:blushing:
3. After chatting with a co-worker who hasn't seen me for a couple of months, I got an email from him saying how wonderful and
happy I look.
Even though I didn't need to lose a great deal of weight it obviously makes a bigger difference in my appearance than I realized.
Yay for NSVs!6 -
Two today:
1. Noticed today that my "bye-bye" arms (the ones that continue to wave after you have stopped) have gone away and that when I flex my arm I can barely see the line between my bicep and triceps.
2. Ripped a pair of sweats at the box but stayed and finished the workout anyways. (The rip was from a Squat booty, not from overly tight on the inside thighs and I politely aimed the hole towards a corner for the rest of the workout).4 -
Officially hit the half way point to my weight-loss goal this morning  I have lost 30 pounds of the 60 I want to lose all together, going from 195lbs on March 23rd to 165lbs this morning...and I can't remember the last time I was this active and felt this good!!5
