  • 2/8/16--184.5 *sigh* One step forward, two steps back.
  • 1/28/16--182.5
  • I'm in. I've been watching my numbers since Jan 1.... Height 5'10" SW: 188 lb GW: 165 lb 01/20/16--184 lb
  • I did it two years ago and lost about 30 pounds over the course of the summer. I watched what I ate, but wasn't obsessive about it. I did a full Insanity cycle then mixed P90X and Insanity. I've had great results with it, but my schedule right now makes it more convenient to work out in the gym at work during the day. Good…
  • Holy smokes! I don't check the boards for a few days and there are like 4 new pages! Everyone is doing great! I'm impressed by the number of people here as well as the motivation and encouragement! If this keeps up, everyone will look and feel a whole lot better by the end of the 90 day journey! I'm within 4 pounds of my…
  • I worked late last night so I missed yesterday's (Week 2, Day 2, P90X Lean) Cardio X workout. I got up and did it this morning. I'm totally convinced that there is another workout that will be better for me, possibly in less the time. So, I've made the decision to sub an Insanity vid for Cardio X and will do P90X Plyo this…
  • Week 2, Day 1--Core Synergistics: 457 calories and a gallon of sweat!:glasses: Now, how to eat all those calories back...drinking them would be more fun!
  • Week one of P90X Lean is in the bag! I'm looking to make a couple changes though. I think I'll exchange Yoga X for Plyo. I don't enjoy yoga one bit. I don't want to have a day that I don't look forward to, so I'm making a change. I did Kenpo yesterday. I forgot what a butt kicker that one is! Good luck to everyone starting…
  • Did Yoga X tonight after work and hated it as much as I remembered. I just can't get into it. I don't enjoy this video at all. I don't find it relaxing. It doesn't clear my mind. I burn very few calories. I sweat, but I don't feel like I've gotten a "workout" in at all. Ugh! I really don't like this video at all. The only…
  • I've noticed the same thing. It (cheat food/meal) tastes so good. Then you feel all that bad-for-you-stuff hit your system and WHAM, you feel like crapola!
  • YES! THIS ONE! I lose my balance from laughing so hard when I hear that!
  • I missed a day this week. I picked up that workout the next day. This weekend, I'll probably do my "Friday" workout on Saturday, my "Saturday" workout on Sunday, and stretch before bed Sunday evening. I know there will probably be people that insist I take a day off, but that doesn't work for me. In my mind, I had that day…
  • Woo hoo! Completed Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ripper X. Boy, am I pooped! I love, love, love this workout. I love working shoulders. I burned a LOT of calories, left a pool of sweat on the floor and will probably need help getting my shirt off and washing my hair! Oh, I'm down about 1.5 to 2 pounds since starting the P90X…
  • Time for bed and I didn't get my workout in tonight. I'm PO'd. It's partly my own fault, in that I pulled a dumb move yesterday and am still suffering the consequences. I'll pick it up again tomorrow and get back on track. I'm trying not to fall off the wagon. On the bright side, my lamb chops were tasty! Keep up the great…
  • Started P90X Lean Monday. Core Synergistics is a butt kicker. After the vid, I did a short (very short) cool down run. I felt like I worked hard during this video. I burned a lot of calories and kept my heart rate up. Yesterday was Cardio X. I'm kind of torn about this video. Maybe the problem is me. Maybe I didn't push…
  • *in a high, squeaky voice* "They're working hard, I know you are!" *in a gruff "Batman" voice* "P. 90. X!"
  • I've actually been doing the bodybuilding.com women's workout bible workout for several weeks. It's close to one that I'd put together for myself a few years ago. I'm a believer in lifting heavy. I know I won't bulk like a man, but I like knowing that I can hold my own in a weight room. I've had men comment on how much I…
  • From http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/conditioning/a/aa052001a.htm Fitness Myth 2: Excessive Sweating While Exercising Means You’re Not Fit In fact, it's just the opposite. Sweating during exercise is a sign of an efficient cooler. An athlete who has adapted to keep the body core cool during exercise will shunt blood to…
  • I'm starting the "Lean" program today. I've been lifting on my own for about 6 weeks and have been eating clean that time. I'm starting today so I'll on my recovery week when I have to travel. I've done the "Classic" twice before and had fantastic results. I've never done "Lean" before, so it will be an adventure!
  • I agree with MissMaryMac33, MFP defaults to too low protein. When doing P90X, I'd shoot for 1g/lb of body weight/day. Some of this depends on your goals as well.
  • I agree with the others. Just ask. He may not have known his "reserving" the equipment was hindering your workout. Most people I've ever encountered in this situation have been willing to work with me so we both get what we need.
  • I'd rather spend 4 hours lifting weights than run a mile! :noway:
